Hello everyone, I'm new to lizardmen and I'm keen to use them at an upcoming tournament. Here is what I'm thinking of using, advice is very much welcome!

Slann, bsb, war banner, soul of stone, harmonic convergence, resovour, obsidian trinket and channelling staff. He will use life magic.
Lvl 1 skink priest with scroll, will use heavens.
30x saurus with spears and fc.
    2x10 skink skirmishers with blowpipes.
26x temple guard with fc and flaming banner.
    Bastilodon with laser.
Ancient steg with engine, sharpened horns and stampede.
    Salamander hunting pack.

I'm a huge life magic fan, it's won me many games in the past and I think with the engine they are relatively easy to cast, two main combat blocks and two monsters with some chaff to redirect.
    What does everyone think? :)

Looks balanced. I prefer javelins over blowpipes but that's a personal preference and not a hard rule.

I am a fan of 13 strong Skirmishers. I would suggest that you make one of the Skink units 12 strong so it becomes 13 with the Skink priest. The unit will then require four casualties to panic rather than three. That makes a big difference.

I think your Salamander pack needs a snack, lone Salamanders risk eating all their handlers if they don't have a fourth member.

Becalming Cognition will save you from more spell damage than the Obsidian Trinket most of the time.

With a Life Slann you have a viable option to drop the Harmonic Convergence and Channeling Staff for the Forbidden Rod. Given that your Slann has a 4+ and Lifebloom, you can heal the minor damage from the item pretty easily. Thought it's a matter of personal preference. HC + the staff will net you on average one extra PD and DD per phase. The Forbidden Rod is intended to defend you from a single bad Winds of Magic roll. It is cheaper though.

I like the rod on a life slann as well. If you follow that strategy you can save points on your disciplines. Also I like soul stone, but don't really see the point if you're going to go for throne. The EOTG is solid in this list; it'll just be hard to keep it alive... The heavens priest should help there. Other than that; I would save the points from the war banner and get the standard of discipline on the slann ld10 cold blooded is great and applies to all your units not just extra res on one. Other than that evertything Scalenex said is solid; maybe there are some spare points available after a second look to boost your skirmisher numbers. Best of luck.
