Hey guys im struggling with a list for an upcoming tournament. I was wandering if you guys could help. So here it is so far LORDS: Slann mage priest, BSB, Harmonic Convergance, Focus of Mystery, Channeling Staff. HERO: Saurus Scar Vet, CO, GW, Light Armour, Dawnstone, Dragonhelm. HERO: Gor'rok HERO:Skink Priest, Dispel Scroll, Lore of Heavens CORE: 10 x Skink Skirmishers w/Javelins and shields CORE: 10 x Skink Skirmishers w/Javelins and shields CORE: 30 x Saurus Warriors w/Spears, FC SPECIAL: 21 x Temple Guard, FC, Standard of Discipline SPECIAL: 9 x Cold One Cavalry, FC, Spears any help would be most welcome
You could put the SoD on the Slann so the Temple Guard can take something more useful to them, swiftness, razor, jaguar, heck even lichebone pennant all work better. The only thing bothering me about the list, and this comes from not too much lizard experience but lots of fantasy play, is you only have one threat that can get up in your opponent's face. This can leave you in the awkward position of either keeping the COC back to keep up/hang around with the slow bricks and thus subject them to more shooting and magic or sending them jaunting ahead to attack and risk letting them get ripped apart as you feed the unit to your opponent supported only by magic. Having something to complement the COC that can keep pace with them is important. Terradons can play re-direction and let the COC pick the fight they want, and Rippers can engage on a flank to maximize carnage. Even a Steg/Ancient can keep pace better than the bricks. Best of luck
