Now this list is all about chewing through armour and forcing rerolls on his precious ward saves I am however unsure where to put my BSB, If he goes with the temple guard, they will destroy with a total -3 to armour saves. I then would put my other scar vet in one of the saurus squads. OR I could put the BSB in one of the saurus squads and the other scar vet in the other. The second option balances out the saturation of points / power and lets me be more flexible, but less effective. And the 3 packs of Chameleon skinks to take out his 2 trebuchets Comments and critiques appreciated! The game is tomorrow!
This is probably too late, but I'll make a few comments anyways. I've played Bretts only twice, and against the same opponent, so rookie status present. What I noticed straight away was what appeared to be nothing for "hero killing." My opponent always brought a lord on a pegasus, which could cause a lot of damage. He also has 3 separate units of peg knights to deal with then. If that's what your opponent brought, what did you do to counter that? Also, my opponent generally brings 4 trebs, which is a pain (granted we've played 3k each time). The chameleons are good for dealing with those, but I also bring some terradons to harrass the pegs (see above) and maybe take out the trebs. My opponent's goal is just to take out my ranks. I think he'd be more successful if he waited to charge until turn 3. Normally he charges in turn 2, meaning that his trebs don't take down enough ranks. I also like to field lots and lots of skinks with 2 kroxs in those units. Generally, 2 units of skrox, one unit of saurus with spears, and maybe TG or COC. I think the skrox units are just for intimidation. He usually avoids the skrox units. Only once has a skrox unit ended up in combat, and although I lost every combat steadfast saved the day and by the end of the game the krox finally took out the 12 knights. I'm also terrified of those grail knights getting a hold of TG or saurus. If I have a slann with metal then I tend to focus everything I can on that unit. So that's that. How'd the battle go? Any battle reports?
Well, the second Scar vet was my hero killer, and he did nab a paladin. The brett player is a fairly new guy, so I was giving him a fairly hard game, as he'd been walking before, although he has very few things atm. Basically the battalion and one or two other things, no pegasus knights yet but he will be getting some soon. And in the 2500 I have added 6 kroxigor 3 terradons and 5 more chameleon skinks!
