Ok, I had some advice of caneghem on what to use in combination with shadow, so here's a sample list: Slann -Loremaster(Shadow), Rumination, Ethereal -Cupped Hands of the Old Ones -Arabian Carpet -BSB Tot: 495 < I know there's a lot of discussion on if you can use the carpet, but it says it's for infantry and monstrous infantry and in the bestiary they say a slann is infantry Scar-Veteran -Horned One -Piranha Blade Tot: 145 <Gonna catapult this guy with steed of shadows and hunt the mages> Skink Priest -Plaque of Tepok Tot: 80 <For channeling and if slann dies for casting, if I'm lucky I roll good spells so he got somehting good to cast> 30 Saurus -Spears -Banner, Musician Tot:378 30 Saurus -Spears -Banner Musician Tot:378 <Main blocks> 17/2 Skrox Unit Tot: 195 <for flanking> 6 Chameleons Tot: 72 10 Skink Skirmishers(Skink Priest here) Tot: 70 < for harrasing> 1 Salamander(4 Handlers) Tot: 80 1 Salamander(4 Handlers) Tot: 80 1973 I got some points left, any ideas on how to use them, or some stupid flaws in the list, any good ideas??
I got a little question, is there a reason nobody answers to my army lists, because nobody answers my list here, nobody answers my skaven list in the underempire(it's on there for a week), and actually I haven't got an answer to my list on any forum, I'm member of a few, so is there a reason or are my lists too boring to answer too.
i will reply mate but unfortunately im not very experienced, looks good to me i like the concept and will be good to see the opponents face when you catapult that scar vet and start top massacre his casters. I am a big fan of variety so im happy to see someone using something other than lore of life for a change. Dont worry about people not replying im sure if there was a huge weakness they would be letting you know. no news is good news. i too have a list on for my game against deamons tommorow and would love some feedback as im very new to the army so if you have time check out my thread and see what you think.
hey man, alright the list is good, but here are some of my opinions. 1) im a fan of the slann, something about the big bad dinosaur, i love it, maybe change lores, something that can weaken down you opponent, before your units hit it. our units are good, but you have to count the other army's shooting and magic. 2) you have no war machine hunters? dude you might want take chameleon skins for this, people say terradons dont really do the job, plus after that you can use the unit to slow down your opponent for more casting, and catch fleeing units. 2 units of 5 seem viable to me. 3) skink priest looks okay. and so does the scar vet. with movement 16 i dont think your going to need to catapult him. 4) whats with the gigantic units of saurus??? and no temple guard? i don't know but it doesnt seem right. 5)skirmishers are nice but after you've take out the war machines through shooting i think they will harass enough. over all change lore, make more smaller units of saurus. take an okay block of temple gaurd, i like the kroxis, take some chaeleons, maybe drop a unit of skins ans make the other one smaller. nice salamanders they seem extremely useful to me at -3 to the armour save. answer back tell me what you think
what about the things that your arm cant deal with?? i know im making a list to make sure there isnt much of that, but it seems anything that can shutdown your magic would really give you serious problems? is there a backup? you dont appear to have many units, but i would see if it would be possible to take out some gear and put in more units. what do you think?
A little idea, if youy think the blocks are too big, what about dropping 6 saurus in each and getting a unit of 12 with no command(5 wide) and let that one run wiht the big units to flank charge. I'm also looking if I drop the skink priest and find 30 points somewhere I can exchange the skrox unit for a unit of 6 kroxigors.

Oldblood carnosaur ench.shield glyph necklace sword of might 420 saurus hero cold one LA, SH, spear BSB 142 18 saurus x2 spears full command 246 6 CoC FC 5 chameleons salamander salamander 4 kroxigor 1594pts im trying to play in 2000pts, what should i add man??? but on your list i still think there are hammers missing, and things to weaken your opponent before you get to him, yes i mean weaken, not completely skill but something to take him out a little so your units will do better. like sallies might not kill the entire unit but weaken it so that almost anything can take it. like when your slann casts a magic missle, it wont kill the whole unit but weaken it so that more things will be able to fight it and win, may i suggest a steggie?
I got absolutely no experience with carnosaur lists, I favor magic, I've always been a magic freak(with games where you can choose a mele, magic and ranged class it always is magic class), you got no magic at all, take a skink priest, and gice him plaque of tepok, if you want to make him lvl2 that's your own choice, you've got one spell more, so you'll use all your PD, heavens won't kill much, but you can weaken a little. My advice is try things out, and take things that work for you, by the way sorry for the late answer but i was on holiday to italy the last 2 weeks and i had no laptop.
the old JSoD combo doesn't work anymore, you catapult a scar vet and he's a sitting duck for 1 turn untill he gets to charge. steed of shadows specifies the move is made like in the remaining moves phase. what i suggest for lore of shadows is a war spear steg. you fly that behind enemy lines and you probably will be able to charge a lot of units on your next turn. also drop some saurus within charge range adn your oponent will have a big problem. carpet seems useless to me honestly. i'd go for mystery, rumination, MR3 and divine plaque+ cupped hands, without TG so you don't blow your units up on miscasts. worst case you can swap places with characters if your slann is in any form of danger. add 2 naked skink chiefs since they are quite cheap and keep them in safe places so you can teleport the slann to safe locations.
