Greetings fellow generals of lustria. Long time reader , first time writer.
My local GW is hosting a game event this Sunday. The game will be a 2000 points no magic game(magic items still allowed but no magic dice can be generated), with character mounts at half cost. The game will also be an allied battle with two teams.

Currently my planned list looks like this:
    Lords:
    Saurus Oldblood - general
    Carnosaur(looping stride, bloodroar)
    Stegadon helm
    Piranha blade
    Luckstone
    Light armor
    Shield

    Heroes:
    Saurus Scar-Veteran
    Carnosaur(looping stride, bloodroar)
    Ironcurse icon
    Gamblers armor
    Dawnstone
    Spear

    Skink Chief
    Ancient Stegadon(sharpened horns, unstoppable stampede)
    BSB - banner of swiftness
    Light armor + shield
    Spear

    Core:
    40 Saurus warriors - horde
    HW+S
    Full command

    10 skink cohorts

    Special:
    4 ripperdactyls

    Stegadon(sharpened horns)

    Rare:
    1 Salamander
    Extra handler

    1 Salamander
    Extra handler

The plan with this list is to compensate for the absence of a slann with big dinosaurs. Due to the 50% reduction in character mounts cost I thought it was a good oppurtunity for a double carno army. Also put an ancient stegadon as mount for the skunk chief to exploit this further. Made the skink chief BSB to get a large leadership-reroll bubble since he's on a monster, that way the scar-vet can still have magic.items. The game will have many players som I expect there will be too little space on the game board for skink clouding, therefore the saurus horde instead, had to put in a skink cohort to fill out the 25% demand for core(maybe better to just to for more saurus while I'm at it?).

Since I haven't played any games like this before I would like to hear if there's anyone here who has, and any advice you might have to offer.
