7th Ed. 2000 Pt Listing

    This is really my first stab at an army list. I tried to balance myself as best as possible. Here goes (Points value):

    - Skink Priest on Ancient Stego; EOTG; level 2 Wizard upgrade, Itzi Grubs and Plaque of Tepok (430)
    - 24x Skinks (Musician) with 3x Kroxigors (281)
    - 16x Saurus Warriors with Full Command and Spears (222)
    - 20x Saurus Warriors with Full Command and Spears (270)
    - 8x Cold One with Full Command and Jaguar Standard (355)
    - 3x Terradon Riders with Brave (100)
    - 10x Chameleon Skinks with Stalker (126)
    -12x Skink Skirmishers with Brave and Blowguns (90)

    My original list had a Skink Chief in it as well, priced around 117 points. I'm not sure if I should just scrap him or tack him into something. I intend to playtest a bit with him in a couple units and see where he could fit. Ending total is 1991

    You can't have 2 arcane items on the skink. The saurus are better of in 2 units of 18 instead of 16 & 20. 8 Cold ones is a very ineffective unit size, trim them down to 5-6, otherwise you will have a bunch of CoC stand in the back doing nothing and there are much cheaper ways to protect them than 2-3 extra CoCs.

    Jaguar standard isnt really that great on Cold one Cavalry either, I'd rather take the Blessed Totem for +D6 charge range. Jag standard on cav offers a 33% increase in move for cav but a 50% increase for infantry so its better on TGs or Saurus. Both Jag and Blessed totem works tho, play around with both and see what you like most.

    Terradons should never take a Brave, makes them much less effective mage hunters as the caster can just challange the brave and get 3S4 instead of 4S4 attacks towards him. Its also pretty expensive. 10 Cammo skinks is a pretty big unit, they won't be able to scout properly that way. Champ is pretty wasted here as well, +1 BS on 2 shots isnt worth it as you want poison hits anyway. You have enought special slots to split them up into 2 units of 5, making them better at everything they do (harass, war machine hunt, scout, marsh block). The skinks doesnt need +1 BS either, as again you want poison hits which won't be helped by a champ. Other than that the list looks fine, but a Saurus Hero on Cold one and / or a Slann would make a great addition.
