Any tips would be appreciated, still relatively new to lizardmen. This is going to my basic list that I want to remove and add models to try them (e.g., the rippers, and some heroes/lords). Mostly want to try and beat Warriors of Chaos, High elves, Orcs and Goblins and Empire. Lords: 435 Slaan BSB Focus of mystery, Harmonic convergence, Channeling staff, Ironcurse icon, Soul of stone Doubting whether I should keep soul of stone. But I guess its good.. Ironcurse for the temple guards Heroes 206 Saurus Scar Vet Cold one, LA, GW, Dragonhelm Skink Priest Scroll Feels a bit weak on heroes. Any tips on the Suarus gear? Special Cham skinks 6x Bastilodon Temple guard 20X FC Im a big bastilodon fan! Wish I could field two.. heh. Core 500 Skink skirmisher 10x throwing weapons Skink skirmisher 10x throwing weapons Saurus Warriors 30x FC maybe I should add a skirmisher pack on this amount of points and remove some Saurus? Rare 330 Ancient Stegadon Sharpened Horns Salamander 1x I guess this is decent. Ancient steg just too awesome!
I think this is the basic 2k army for anyone. Your Slann is not that expensive (he will always be expensive..). If you have a big unit of temple guard, you really want to have Soul of Stone, to prevent the big frog from blowing up part of the unit is great. It also helps from getting sucked into the warp... Your core is basic but solid. And we like to call the throwing weapons 'Javelins' Special with TG and Bastilodon is very good and I really like chameleon skinks. Also, your rare slots are filled in like a lot of players would. Really, if this is the core: you're doing great. More skirmishers are good, but be wary of dropping too many saurus. The gear on the scar-vet...I don't have my army book at the moment. But all I would say: keep him cheap. Good luck out there! The Hunted
Thank you very much for the reply! Yeah this is as basic as it gets I guess. Ive been playing the 1500 version (without temple guard and chameleon skinks). Its been working. So I just extended it with this. Then just one extra question, namely, how would this ideally be positioned? I understand its very dependent on the enemy (e.g., heavy cavalry? --> ancient steg that way). But more in general. I guess the temple guard and the Saurus side by side in the middle. Maybe the Bastiladon in the center it? Scar vet and Ancient Stegadon on the sides together with the two redirecors?
