Hi guys this is a list of my 2000 pts army against Tomb King.

Last time I played with him, I used Temple Guard, Saurus, Salamanders and Lore of Light.

Well, he lost quite miserably since he allowed me to buff my Temple Guard with ***THREE*** spells. Speed of Light, Time Warp and Pha's Protection. My Scar-vet has sword of Anti-Hero and he had 3 heroes in the unit of chariots I was fighting. So I got 8 Strength 8 Attacks, with re-roll (ASF + I10), and pretty much DESTROYED everything. He lost the combat by something like 8 points (-1 to hit from WS, and -1 to hit from Pha's)

He said he was sooooo afraid of Banishment thats why he saved his dispell dice for that, I told him maybe he should have dispelled my augments to make the battle more in his favour.

Anyway, I kind of want to give him a chance to win back, so I came up with this list that I have never tried. I have never used Life but my plan was to cast +2/4 Tough on my Skrox unit and send them into close combat. If too many died I can regrowth. If the hitting power from 2 Krox per unit is not enough I can cast Shield of Thorns.

If all went terribly wrong, I still have my temple guard, which I can cast + toughness + regen + shield of thorns to make them really hard to kill. Regrowth should be able to keep the 15 temple guard just enough in numbers to protect my Slann I hope. If I am lacking on offensive power I can cast Dwellers.

The Skinks Priest is there to get access to hopefully some offensive spells like Comet of Casandora, or protect my other Skrox unit in close combat with augments/hex.

    What do you guys think?

I feel like if you are going to run that many skinks per unit you should add a 3d kroxigor for more damage. Something like 2x25skinks +3 krox would put you at the same points. I also think you should run light again. Krox like lore of light. WS 10 means s6 hit on 3+. And isn't that the point of running skrox? More damage! And against undead, icing on the cake.

Also you aren't supposed to use exact point values anywhere online. It's against GW rules, and thus forum rules.

This is true but I feel the OP isn't too bad on this front, although he posts unit total he doesn't say how much each model costs (although you can work this out easily) but for the magic items it is not possible to work how much each one costs or how much each command upgrade costs, I see army lists on this forum where every single item and model has its points cost next to it. However danbot is right, try to minimise the amount of points value you put on the forum,

But I agree with danbot, light is better, buff the skrox and let them rip the skellies apart. And also you have the magic missiles which you know he is scared off, however since you say you want to be nice maybe life will work well.

One things, the scar vet only has a 3+ when shot at, the halberd precludes the use of the shield in close combat so it is only a 4+ so if the vet is going in a unit (so can't be shot at) drop the shield for something else, charmed shield??
If he is running solo give him a cold one or something

I don't like to dis light but from the context of his point, I thought he was planning to play without Light as a courtesy? I certaintly wouldn't want to play with only 15 Temple Guard on anything but Life.

I do agree that a third Kroxigor in your Skink block would be a good idea. You need the CR a Kroxigor can provide. Not sure the second spell on the skink priest will add much. I tend to like to give my level one priests a dispel scroll equivalent or the Forbidden Rod. If you gave the Slann the Forbidden Rod and the Skink Priest the Cube, you'd have about a 99% chance to completely heal the Slann with Lifebloom long before he would be threatened by his extra wounds.
