8th Ed. 2000 pts no Slann, magic light

    So I've cooked up a 2k list without Slann as I feel that a Slann restricts too much at 2k:

    Core


    29 Saurus Warriors handweapon & shield + full command
    3x 10 skink skirmishers blowpipes

    Lord

    Saurus Oldblood
    Steggie helm
    4+ward save item (can't remember name, dont have BRB on me)
    Ironcurse Icon
    Light armour
    Halberd

    Hero

    Skink priest, lvl 2, Lore of Beasts + scroll

    Skink chief

    Ripperdactyl
    Light armour

    Egg of Quango
    Enchanted Shield

    I am planning to use the 2 units of rippers and the BSB chief to attempt to roll down a flank. 2 bloat toads + a reroll on failed frenzy tests should do something I hope. Plenty of chaff and things to redirect bad matchups for the saurus. Let's see how well this list works :p Any comments are appreciated!

    Yah, looks interesting. Egg of the Quango on a Ripper could be fun. Too bad he doesn't get his own Toad though. The chief might be better off on a Terradon since he's your BSB. They can still keep pace with Rippers, you know. Plus he gets a rock to drop.

    Just make sure you keep your Steg close to your Saurus. They will be very reliant on one another.
