Hello guys I am planning to attend a 2 day, 5-battle tournament. The tournament is relatively uncomped and includes ET. Only the magic rules of ET are not used. Every army gets to bring a free Giant model to include in their list. A maximum of 1k points to the combined cost of heroes and lords. I generally dislike the Slann and having alot of points invested in magic. So here goes: Lord Saurus Oldblood Carnosaur (fully upgraded) Armor of Destiny Dawnstone Great Weapon Hero Saurus Scar Veteran BSB Armor of Fortune Sword of Striking Shield Skink priest Dispel scroll Lvl 2 Core 30x Saurus warrior + Full Command 10x Skink Skirmishers Javelins 10x Skink Skirmishers Blowpipes 10x Skink Cohort 13x Skink Cohort + Banner Special Bastilodon Solar Engine 3x Terradon Rider 3x Terradon Rider Rare Ancient Stegadon Sharpened Horns So the idea behind this list: several targets so the Carnosaur can survive a tad longer (Bastiladon + Ancient Stegadon + Saurus Warrior horde). Two units of Terradon Riders to take out Warmachines and some chaff. Bastiladon provides a +1 I buff aswell which is always good. Pair up the Carnosaur with the Ancient Stegadon for a double charge. The Saurus horde also gives me a chance to take out enemy hordes (supported with either heavens signature or beast signature) or to reform deep and tarpit. The one Skink Cohort with the banner is in there as a tiny bunker for the mage and to bring the banner count up (Fortitude). The blowpipes are in there for two reasons: less models to paint and doubleshots on the Giant will probably be painful. So I have a bit of everything: damage dealers, redirect, magic and warmachine hunters. Thoughts anyone?
Hey man! The saurus unit in this list is pretty useless, kinda free points for your opponent: this list cannot buff them up to a decent stats, and they are not so mobile compared to your other units. Fill your core with cohort and skirmishers Against hordes, try adding 2 sallies. If you equip your oldblood with stegadon helm and talisman of preservation, you can have armor of destiny on your scar-vet. Mount him on a cold one, and give him a gw. The oldblood will still be resiliant, and youll have a bsb able to fight and withstand many things. Is the priest heaven? Id suggest that, to ~silence warmachines. Also, you can use iceshard blizzard on big units, then charge it with bloodroaring carnosaur If you need extra points for the changes, remove solarodon, its the least mobile in the list, its shooting is just 66%, then you need another 4+ to be effective.
Well I know that the Saurus Warriors are a subpar choice, yet they are already painted and saves me alot of time painting wise. And I added the magic weapon to the BSB to get some magic attacks in the list. But I will see what I can think of using skinks/krox in the list. Cheers for the feedback!

However I am down 1 fortitude considering for the tournament the BSB and General need to be in a unit of at least 5 models to generate fortitude. Comments?
