Hello again guys, I've been skimming over a lot of lists lately and have compiled what I believe to be a very competitive list.
I'll be coming up against Vampire Counts on the weekend, and I have basic list below. (I have no idea what some of the banners/magic items do so maybe you could help me out with that :p)
I will most likely be taking the Lore of Shadow for Pit of Shades, increased fear immunity and of course the missiles and movement to boot.
The list below is not tailored specifically to a VC army, this is more of an all rounder that I will be looking to take to future tournaments, so let me know what you think. =D
    Here she is:

    Characters

Slann-Mage Priest (General and Battle Standard Bearer) … 415pts
    War Banner
    Focus of Mystery
    Focus of Rumination
    Dispel Scroll
    Bane Head

    Skink Priest … 435pts
    Level Two
Ancient Stegadon with Engine of the Gods
    Plaque of Tepok
    War Drum of Xahutec

    Saurus Scar-Veteran … 144pts
    Hide of the Cold Ones
    Great Weapon
    Shield

    Core

    12x Saurus Warriors … 156pts
    Spears
    Standard Bearer
    12x Saurus Warriors … 156pts
    Spears
    Standard Bearer
    10x Skink Skirmishers … 70pts
    Blowpipes

    10x Skink Skirmishers … 70pts
    Blowpipes
    10x Skinks (Ranked) … 50pts
    Javelins + Shields

    Special

    14x Temple Guard … 245pts
    Standard Bearer, Musician
    3x Terradon Riders … 90pts
    3x Terradon Riders … 90pts

    Rare

    Salamander Hunting Pack … 75pts

Power Dice: 2 + 4(+1 to each spell cast by the Slann) + 3
    Dispel Dice: 6 + Scroll
    Total: 1996pts

3 units of ninja skink harassment/diverting, which is key to keeping the enemy hard hitters away from my core units, protecting flanks and opening up flank charges.
2 units of superhero terradons for dealing with enemy missile troops/war machines/fast cavalry.
Salamander, Terradons, Skinks will provide adequate shooting.
1 effectively unbreakable infantry unit, 2 units of thrash and slash with the added benefit of a T6, Fear Immune/Causing Tank in one. (Stupidity? 3D6 Ld8 I’ll take it like a man…)

    Hi,

List looks good all round, my only point would be that your facing a very magic heavy VC list, so I'd be tempted to grab maybe another scroll or the diadem on your Skink Priest if you could, just to really cull his raising power...

Against VC you'll want becalming cogitation on your slann... suddenly one dice spam is a lot less viable on his lord

    Very Good List...

I agree with Dumbledore, you'll want becalming cogitation, but I don't suggest you change your EoTG setup. It's golden, you'll be able to cast - and hopefully get off some useful spells from heavens - plus the "can't be march blocked" will really help you against those VC blocks. Be careful with your EoTG. But considering it will do str 5 hits on undead, and you'll run circles around his slow, barely unturnable blocks, its a great unit against VC.

    Cheers for the replies guys.

I agree about the Becalming Cogitation for VC, so I might drop a unit of Cohorts for it...

However, against any other army I'll prob take the current setup.
