Hey guys, the National Tournament is just round the corner (next saturday) and I was thinking on using a slann list. The point limit is 2000 points and the tournament will contain four games, each being a different scenario (most scenarios involve capturing enemy quarters etc) Anyways, here is my army list: Slann - Focused Rumination + knows all spells in a lore (forgot name), cupped hands, BSB Scar vet - light armour, shield of the mirrored pool, GW Skink priest - Engine, diadem 15 saurus warriors with spears - full command 10 skink skirmishers 10 skink skirmishers 4 terradons 4 terradons 14 temple guard - full command 5 cold ones - full command + war banner What do you think? Comments are welcome

Try to get your Saurus unit up to 18 and field them 6x3, it's much more effective. I don't like the setup you have on your Scar-Vet to much either. What are you going to use the Scar-Vet for? I'm not a big fan of CoC myself. Maybe drop them for salamanders, razordons, or maybe more skinks? I have seen CoC used effectively though so maybe I'm wrong on that point. Two units of terradons? I like terradons, but some people consider it cheese to field more than one unit. If you can deal with that, then go right ahead. I personally think it's fine. Looks like a good start, just needs some readjustment.
Thanks crimsontide, As to the CoC, I would like to keep them for some flanking manoevres, and they will be aided by the terradons and skirmishers. However, I may drop the warbanner and take 2 saurus more bringing them up to 17 and adding the scar vet to them so as to make an even 6x3 unit. 2 units of terradons are fine. We play by the book here so no deductions for cheesy lists etc, but rather everybody takes the best that he is permitted to do (I usually use 3 units in fact) The scar-vet, which is also a point of contention on my end, is something I will be trying for the first time. I am sure that many people will have magic heavy lists so magic missiles are something to take care of (hence the shield of the mirrored pool). Also, the GW is there simply to bump his strength up to 7 should I be charged (old on'e forbid) by some heavy cavalry or other heavily armoured troops. Though if anybody has any suggestions how better to make use of the scar vet in this situation let me know. As to the razors/sallies, don't really have the points to get any in, and in order for them to be effective you would need at least 2 packs, which is really a drain on the points in this type of army in my opinion.
