Hi guys, merry Christmas. I have been invited to play a 6000 points a side game involving 6 players and i need some help. We are playing a simple good vs evil match and i am playing with High elves and Wood elves against Skaven, Warriors of chaos and Ogres (who have been bought off by the Skaven with the promise of gold and delicious lizard and elf meat). We are using the newest rules so will only be able to generate a maximum of 12 power dice each magic phase. This is a problem to me because i wanted to take a Slann, but the High elf player wants to take a level 4 mage and the Wood elves will have 2 level 2 spell weavers as well. This has made it pointless for me to add a Slann as neither of my team want to give up their wizards, and the high points cost of a good Slann isn't worth paying if i cannot use him to his full potential. So, i have decided to make a hard hitting combat force and would like some criticism please. LORDS Saurus Oldblood - Blade of Realities Carnosaur Pendant Light Armour Shield HEROS Scar Veteran - Sword of Battle Light Armour Shield Scar Veteran - Halberd Light Armour Shield Skink Chief - Stegadon War Spear Stegadon CORE 35 x Saurus Warriors - Full Command Spears 14 x Saurus Warriors - Full Command SPECIAL 19 x Temple Guard - Full Command War Banner Sword of the Hornet 10 x Cold One Riders - Full Command Huanchi's Blessed Totem Should i Take 2 Razordons and 2 Salamanders instead of the Temple guard? If i hit a unit of 6 Ogres (any type) with the Blade of Realities and 2 out of 4 leadership tests failed would 2 Ogres be dead? Thanks a lot and have a happy new year.
i would probably ask for your allies army but normally with he and we your probably have a lot of archers and rank and file but not many men maybe you could get a skink army to take on the skaven maybe get Tehenhauin that would be insane
DEFINITELY don't take the temple guard!! I don't like Razordon's personally but I think that two of them would be rather effective against the Skaven Horde that you are going to see. Plus the Salamanders would cause a lot of panic on the Skaven wussies as well as put a nice 'bite' in the WoC armor I would suggest taking the two units of Saurus a little bit more evenly. Maybe a unit of 25 and another of 24. I promise you, your opponents on the field will most likely be either Ogres or WoC as WE will do a LOT better against Skaven with their heavy shooting Maybe put something pretty on you Scar Vet's so they can deal with higher toughness/multiple wounds. I think the Piranha Blade would actually be very nice for one of them and stick him in a unit of Saurus and throw them at the ogre battleline. If you have any skinks i suggest dropping them in instead of the Cold One Cavalry.
