I recently picked up Warhammer after a 10 year break - I bought the wood elf batallion boxed set because I though the minatures were cool (and they are) but they appear to be significantly more fragile than my inept generaliship is capable of countering. So I went looking for tougher troops, and found the Lizardmen. I REALLY like the fluff, and while they dont appear stupidly good like Dwarves/Empire they still seem pretty solid with good infantry and the Stegadons, with some pretty potent magic as well. First pass at a 2250 list, which I understand is the common amount to play with... Any thoughts would be welcome. I'll admit to building an Army list that takes advantage of the Box Sets - sadly I dont have money to burn but I'd still like to field a competitive army. Lord: Slaan (lore of light) - BSB, Focus of Rumination, Focus of Mystery, Becalming Cogitation, Cupped Hands of the Old ones, Iron curse Icon Hero: Skink Chief Light Armour, shield, Stegadon Warspear, Ancient Stegadon Core: 20 Saurus Warriors - Full Command 20 Saurus Warriors - Full Command 10 Skink Skirmishers - Brave 10 Skink Skirmishers - Brave Special: 20 Temple Guard - Full Command, Burning Blade of Chotec, Jaguar Standard 6 Chameleon Skinks - Brave Rare: Ancient Stegadon - NB: Forgot to add total points! 2244
i would suggest maybe making the saurus units a little bigger if u can move some points around, and maybe some terradons if u drop 1 of the stag to give u extra flanking and warmachine annoyence good ness
