Hey guys, this is my new combat army 2250 points. Let me know what you think; I feel that it is pretty standard.

Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur, Light Armor, Enchanted Shield, Blade of Realities = 455
I like the ace in the whole weapon, and he is a tough lord to beat.

Skink Priest on EotG, PLaque Tepok, Lvl 2 = 405
Need some magic resistance, and the EotG helps againt the demon and undead players I face regularily

Saurus Scarvet on cold one, Battle Standard, Light Armor, Shield, Plaque of Dominion = 188
Keeps him fast moving so I can get the BS from place to place.

Saurus Scarvet on foot, Light Armor, Curse Charm, Shield of Mirror Pool = 140
Put him in rank with saurus for magic protection.

Saurus Warriors, Full Command, 15 models = 195

Saurus Warriors, Full Command, 15 models = 195

    Skink Skirmishers, 12 models = 84

    Skink Skirmishers, 12 models = 84

    Skink Skirmishers, 12 models = 84

    Salamanders, 2 packs = 150

Cold One Riders, 5 models, full command = 225

    Jungle swarm = 45
Because I ran out of models.....

That should be 2250, let me know what you think. It does a fair job of brushing off enemy magic and dominating combat.

My only observation is about cold ones... ok i agree they look scary but they worth ?
A Stegadon on my opinion is 100 times more usefull than a cavalry, they almost cost same points but stega is stuborn (with a bsb near is hard to brake)To6 and has also and 5+ ward save on shooting with skink crew :p
Has also lot manouverability (pivot on spots) compare cold ones (+stupidity:p)

Im sorry Laskoulas7 not to talk bad about you but Sarus Cold One are excellent, you might have to over look how you run them because every game i use them i have a great amount of success. Yes a stegadon is nice but you have to realize that Cold ones dont suffer from +1 to get hit by Bold throwers and the D3 wounds they do to the stegadon. Cold ones also dont have a chance of getting your character killed. Ever have a bolt thrower roll a 6 on a randomize and a 3 or 4 on the d3 to see how much damage it does, because i sure have had it happen a few times. With all the glory of the stegadons they are not that great. For starters they can get shot down easy, bold throwers, cannons, organ guns, bow/gun fire and lets not forget magic. There are also many specialty weapons that can kill them such as brass orb.

With that cold ones are amazing, they have a higher movement allowing you to guarantee to charge on M6 models and with Hitchi banner allow you to charge most M8 calverly reliably. They serve different purposes and neither one is bad, it really comes down to preference, skill and style.

    The LORD
With that your list could use some tweaking, my first huge gripe is that your Old one has not ward save, I have one thing to say to you, KILLING BLOW. Alot of things in the game have it, at this point in the game everyone has some form of it, weather its a flying skink with the dagger or a grave guard unit, the threat is there and without a wardsave all he has to do is roll a 6 to wound. Might not happen every game but this can be the difference between 5-0 and 4-1 steak or losing at a tournament level. Now lets move up to the Blade of Reality, this thing is nice but it cant always guaranty a kill, and it keeps you from getting your ward save. I for one use the 65 point blade (cant remember the name off the top of my head), it makes your s6 and no amour saves, it might not be as good as the blade of reality but it is more reliable, you know what it can do and on average what it will do. This now brings me to the Carnosaur, your lord does not get a +2 mount bonus, you make it up with the enchanted shield though but if you take the ward and the 65 point blade your not going to have points left over. Consider this for the points value of a Carnosaur you can get 15 Saurus with spears and full command. Personally because of this 1 unit of spears iv ran down dragons before and flanked enemy units. Also with a Carnosaur your going to get frenzied and some fast calv will make you run around the table the whole game. A good player can and will exploit this, through a unit of lets say skinks at it and now your frenzied it cost him 80 points of skinks and some terradon riders to tie up your lord, Carnosoar and your unit of cold ones. Also in a challenge or in any senario the Carasaur is easy killings, its t5 but so is your lord, its lower weapon skill your hitting it on 3s and its got no low amour save and no ward. I would always attack the Carnasaur over the Old blood, unless i have killing blow like wardancers.

    The the Priest
The only problem is see here is that you dont have a ward save on him, give him the +2 amulet so that if you do get hit by a bold thrower you live. Its like making your skink 3 wounds. Also your opponent does not gain half points for your skink with 1 wounds. One thing to consider is that to take down a stegadon u need to get 6 bolt throwers hits and 4 will randomize to Stegadon and 2 would wounding and with a good roll of 3-4 and a 5-6 kill it and that is if you dont make your ward. Your skinks on average will take 1 hit and so will your priest, on a 3 or 4 on the d3 wounds you just lost your magic user/defense.

    At the BSB
Plague of Domination is kind of dumb, i would not take it. I would just give him Jaguar Standard or give him magic items to protect him. Enchanted Shield and Hornets sword come to mind. But really this one is up to you, i personal see at as unreliable. But i can see how if you capitalized on the stupidity you could win a game. Remember lot of things are immune to physiology.

    At Core
Dont know why you dont have spears, its 15 more points per unit and you gain spears not replace, you can still use hand weapon shield if things go dicey. Sarus are the best spearmen in the game i would use them.
WTF why do you have 12 skinks, drop them down to 10 they become more manageable and easier to hid for LOS arcs and cost less point when they redirect a charge or flee and fail to rally.

    At Special
Jungle Swarm(because i ran out of models.....) GIVE YOUR COLD ONES A WARBANNER OR HITCHIES AND ADD another cold one or drop the champion so that your lord cant be randomized too. You need 5 rank and file troops, because a champion can be randomized too, it makes your unit 4 rank and file models.

    At Rare
I would add 2 extra skinks but this is just goes from personal experience.

Take it or leave it, just know these changes that i told you about come from a very experienced person.
