Ok, so I like the skink model and dislike the saurus model so here's the plan: I want to make an army of all skinks but I really want a carn so I'm going to mount a 'skink prophet' on one as a old blood proxy. What do you think of the list? Lord Skink prophet on carn w/ Scimitar of the Sun Resplendent, the maiming shield, LA Hero Skink priest on EotG w/ war drums Hero Skink Priest on Eotg w/ 2 dispel scrolls Hero Skink chief on terradon, w/ hide of the cold ones, shield Special 4 Terradon riders Special 4 Terradon riders Special 5 Chameleon skinks Special 5 Chameleon skinks Core 73 skink skirmishers in units of 10 or 11 The EotG with the drums will be for mass magical attacks, and other EotG will be a unit eater. Both will serve for terror tests. Carn and prophet are clearly unit eaters (15 attacks!). The chief on terradon will attach to a unit of terradons to take out warmachines. He causes fear so he will force a flee if they lose (thats why there will be 5 of them, average warmachines only have 3 in crew). The chameleon skinks will be flank harassers and distractions more than anything else really. I put 10 of them in to make them seem like a bigger threat then they really are, but I think I am going to try it with just 5 first. I think that by having the super unit eating carn build and no ranked units I can avoid combat with my opponents lords thus not requiring me to have a hero hunting character.
the hide of the cold ones has a small not that says "saurus on foot only". also 1 terradon has US 2 so you only need 2 to outnumber a warmachienve crew. also, it couldn't auto break the enemy since only the fear causing models are counted when determining if a uni is outnumbered by a fear causing enemy. a fear causer does not pass fear on to his unit but immunity to fear and the enemy must test for fear against the fear causer not the whole unit (same test but you get the point) otherwise a nice list, alltough i love saurus. you could use a sally or 2 to kill high armor units. poison is nice, but 2+ saves are also nice
Hmm.... paying attention to rules fail. Ok so I take that chief out and I have xxx points left over. I could add 20 more skirmishers, or if I cut out a few more points I could add two salamanders. What do you guys think I should add?
