looks like a good list. You noted it was weak in close combat but I think that's not true. While you do not have raw killing power, you do have 3 solid blocks of infantry that will go toe-to-toe with a lot of opponents. I can always advice more skinks, this army has 10 skirmishers and 7 chameleons... that's very few! personally I need my skink to annoy my opponent, but some people just go for Saurus and are fine. So That's up to you. Small thing: I would drop the Enchanted Shield on your scar-veteran, you want him to use the GW most of the time, and if he's not using the GW. He's not facing strong opponents so the ES isn't necessary. Buy Bane Head for your slann for instance. Just try to find room for at least 10 more skinks is what i would say! Hope it helps! The Hunted
Skinks are good for march blocking, but also redirecting enemy charges or forcing early charges in the middle of the field. They can also dish out a respectable number of poison shots which can beat up big monsters and light units. Skink cohort lose some manouverability but can take musician and are able to deny rank bonus on a flank charge
Also, skinks are a unit they cannot ignore. yeah, they are squishy toughness 2 ants, but if you don't kill them, you 550 point Lord of Change will die of poison.
I think skink scirmishers are the best unit in army ! ! ! Less zaurus more skink ! ! ! Southland rules ! ! !
Very good list, has alot of potential. I'd like to suggest dropping glyph necklace on your EoTG and giving him Wardrums of Xahutec (best item for an EoTG). And I'd like to see extra handlers on your salamanders, but other then that everything is a good size, and a good amount, it will be a very tough army. You may want to consider dropping the scar-vet and getting a Lvl 2 skink priest with cloak of feathers, you can channel through him, but its more magic for the enemy to dispel as well. In the case of skink skirmishers, it depends on your play style, they are a very good unit though, and I'd normally suggest one unit for every block of saurus as a base rule. But sometimes you don't need it, and I think with your big blocks and magic your enemy will be torn between getting magic to the face, or coming to meet your tough blocks. The salamanders and chameleons and terradons will do great harrassment and can marchblock the pesky things that can deal with your blocks. Plus the warmachine hunting will really help. I really like the list, though, good job...
