7th Ed. 2250 List. Skink Heavy

    Heya guys. Long time watcher, first time poster. Over the past several months I've been playing Lizards and I just want to get some advice on this list. Let me know what you think I need to change or anything like that. Thanks guys!

    First off... remove the individual points costs of the items or you will have the mods breathing down your neck :rage:

    Here are some suggestions on your list. Feel free to use/ignore/get inspiration from them in any manner that you wish.

    1. Slann:
    remove unfathomable presence
    remove diadem of power
    remove dragonfly of quicksilver

    2. Temple Guard:
    remove totem of prophecy
    add champion

    3. Skink Priest:
    add diadem of power
    remove glyph necklace
    add dispel scroll

    4. Terradons:
    I would take at least 2 units of 4 in an army like this

    5. Salamanders
    Place them in separate units rather than in 1

    Aranigej is right about the individual point costs of items. GW is pretty psycho-hose-beast about their copyright material and they constantly are forcing sites to remove information. The specific rule about posting on the forums can be found here:

    I'd also like to second almost everything he recommends in his post. Extremely solid advice. My only variance would be the terradons. I know they can be useful and all, but they are *expensive* and buying 8 of them is very costly. If this is friendly and your opponent lets you proxy, you might want to give it a try. I'd personally go with either 1 unit of 4 or 2 units of 3 in a game of this size. That boils down to personal preference though, since we all agree they are worth having.

    Once you remove all those magic items, I'd recommend taking a unit of Saurus Warriors to protect the Temple Guard flank. You basically have 1 unit that you are going to 'accept' charges. Unless you are extremely formidable in the movement phase and your opponent is fairly weak, I'd feel a lot safer with a second block to absorb some shock in a 2250 pt game.

    yeah the price of terradons is a pain. i just think if something requires to be in a group of 3 or more you should sell it in a pack of 3. make them plastic and sell 3 for 30 bucks.

    Don't forget that GW is after all a business, so by making the good stuff expensive, you either have to buy them or do without them. Anyways, when I use more terradons than I have a usually proxy the ones left out but in official tournaments that would be a bit of a prob.
