7th Ed. 2250 Lizards - Tweak me

    So I'm back into WHFB and have a tourney at the end of the month.

    I've got a couple games in. List has been evolving. A draw and a massacre.

    Just looking for a little input about tweaking the items.

    Keep in mind it's a compy event.

    Ok, so list is..

    365 - Slaan: Focus of Mystery, Focused Rumination, Bane Head, Rod of the Storm.
    430 - Priest: Level 2, Engine of the Gods, Plaque of Tepok, Dispel Scroll.
    170 - Scar-Vet: BSB, Cold One, Enchanted Shield, Light Armour, Burning Blade of Chotec.

    162 - 12 Saurus: Musician, Standard, Spears.
    162 - 12 Saurus: Musician, Standard, Spears.
    50 - 10 Skinks.
    50 - 10 Skinks.
    70 - 10 Skirmish Skinks.
    70 - 10 Skirmish Skinks.

    235 - Baby Steggy.
    230 - 5 Cold Ones: Musician, Standard, Warbanner.
    90 - 3 Teradons.
    90 - 3 Teradons.

    75 - Sally Pack.

    2249pts.

    I'll generally go with the Lore of Metal, as it's brutal. Spirit on 4 dice, Molten Silver on 3 and Burning Iron on 2, most turns. 3 free dice. If I don't miscast. Rod's there for a little extra punch, as if I see a Dragon then omfg I need to fry it. Plus whatever 3 dice from the Priest is also good.

    I'm pretty happy with the Cold Ones lead by the BSB as well.

    Lizardman leadership is just terrible.

    I'm debating dropping the Salamander, Rod and wiggling some othe gear, to take a Nike Saurus. But over 1000pts in heroes is like... ugh.

    So any tweaks?

    Lol at lizardman terrible leadership. Lizardmen statistically have the most reliable leadership you can get. Hmm.... I see a definitive lack of anvil units. 12 saurus is really more of a roadblock then a solid wall. Also no temple guard, which means 2 great cannons is nearly auto win versus the toad, lest he hides in a unit of skinks just to get look out sir. Never ever ever take a sally pack alone without an extra guy, as then it is 4 models strong, and panics if one skink dies to shooting. the extra guy throws you over the hump.

    Is the scar vet supposed to hang out with the cold one riders? Kind of a strange place to put your BSB but I guess it's combat rez.
