8th Ed. 2250 Lizzies vs Vamp Counts

    Yesterday I had a game agianst vampire counts, I was really luky since we rolled 3 rivers on the random terrain chart so we decided to split the boared in half with it. Although the river didnt effect the game at all :(

    I was running

    Slann mage -Focous of mastery (Discipline)
    -The Focoused Rumination (Discipline)
    -Seed of rebirt
    -Potion of Speed
    Oxytol
    Skink priest level 2
    -Cube of Darkness.

    20 Sarus with spears
    24 Skinks 3 krox
    20 TG full command, champioin with blood statuette of spite.
    7 Chamo skinks
    7 Chamo skinks
    3 terradons
    1 salamadner + extra handler
    1 salamander + ectra handler
    Ancient steg

    I dont have the esact vamps list but it was a bit like this

    9 blood knights (the scary ones D:)
    10 black knights
    Horde of about 40 skeles
    20 grave gaurd
    20-30 crypt ghoul
    vamp with +2 power dice level 2 (and some other item)
    vamp 2+ armour +2 power dice level 2
    Vamp on bloodknight horse, (I think hes a character) each wound gives him powerdice/dispell dice next turn.
    (I think thats all)

    Deployment. We deployed horizontaly across from each other, I completley forgot about my 20x saurus block and didnt deploy it -_-.
    Vamps deployed and went first.

    Turn 1: They all moved forward, magic i dispeled everything succesully.
    My Turn1: Ainceint Steg charges black knights passes river dangerous terrain
    Chemo skinks run out of the venom forst all alive (thank god)
    Chemo skinks 2 run behind Grave garud up towards a hill
    Oxytol hides behind chemo skinks squad 2 (not part of squad)
    Skrox, turn to prepare to flank bloodknights moving towards TG.
    I sallys stay a bit back, I was planing on a charge block but wanted to shoot out some of the blood knights first.
    Magic, Slann (last spell of lore of light) time warp on stegadon (firstrike +1 attack (even the skinks) and double movement) I used the two magic missiles which names phase me on the blood knights, I only killed one (terrible rolls)also one of them was dispelled. I attempt to cast 10WS 10 Initive on templgaurd and roll and 1 and 2 and fail.
    Shooting, cahmos kills 2 grave gaurd, 2 skelesoxytoll cant see the vamp lord in the squad so he kills a further 1 grave gaurd.
    I completley forget about the salamnders and jump to the stegg combat.
    Skinks kill 1 black knight stegg kills 0 (fail rolls) black knights dont wound me.
    Black knights have a standard, combat draw.

    Turn 2
    Bloodknights charge temple gaurd. ( CRAP! )
    Grave gaurd turn to face chemo skinks who are half way up the hill on the board corner.
    Crypt ghouls face the skinks hiding next to the venom forst.
    Skeles march but are just way behind the cavalry.
    Magic, he fails to cast this big wind spell, i dispeled it, he used most of his powerdice and failed to get irristisble force. nothing else happens either.
    He has not shooting, combat blood knights kill 12 temple gaurd, I kill 1 blood knight (thank god for stubborn)
    (black knights 1 more dies) my steg takes no wounds again
    My Turn 2:
    I didnt realise I put my salamnder in the way of skrox charge path (Im a idiot) salays move towards cypt gaurd skrox sit there hoping te TG can hold off another turn
    chemo runs behind the forst hoping the skels lose alot form dangeroud terian if they are game enough to charge.
    chemo skinks 2: runs further up the hill.
    Magic: Due to extremly nice rolls onmy behald (I got a 5 & 6 in every roll but my 2nd last lol) I cast all the spells in lore of light, exluding the one which auto passes LD checks, MY TG got +1 atttacks fistrike WS 10 Initive 10, and another spell on them I forget witch, I killed 6 crypt ghoul with the 2 magic missles, and I also give the vamp on the horse 1 wound with my blood statuette of spite rolling a 6 on my spare power dice and then him failing the roll on a 5 or less which he rolled a 6 (LOL!)
    Combat. I kill all the blood knights and the army general is sitting there left with one wound, he kilsl 1 more TG and stays.
    Turns 3:
    He moves his grave gaurd towards skinks, his skeles towards the forest although he is just not touching it. Crypt ghouls advance
    Magic (he dcides to start be ressing his blood knights, Cube of darkenss i roll a 6 his magic turn ends. He conceeds, he knows that his army is going to crumble now since his general is as good as dead.
