Hi agian guys, First of thanks for all you replies to my posts. After reading even more on this forum and on Warseer, taking the feedback from my last list and talking to a good friend of mine (long time Lizardmen player), I've come up with a new and improved list, that's really beginning to look something I'm happy with: Slann Mage-priest 415 - Battle Standard Bearer - Focus of Mystery - The Focused Rumination - Dispel Scroll - Bane Head - War Banner Saurus Scar-Veteran 145 - Light armor - Cold One - Burning Blade of Chotec - Enchanted Shield Saurus Scar-Veteran 160 - Light armor - Cold One - Maiming Shield - Sword of Might Skink Priest 125 - Level 2 - Cloak of Feathers 15 Saurus Warriors 198 - Spears - Musician - Standard Bearer 15 Saurus Warriors 198 - Spears - Musician - Standard Bearer 10 Skink Skirmishers 70 10 Skink Skirmishers 70 6 Chameleon Skinks 72 14 Temple Guards 245 - Standard Bearer - Musician 5 Cold One Cavalry 195 - Standard Banner 5 Cold One Cavalry 195 - Standard Banner 1 Salamander Hunting Pack 80 - Extra Handlers 1 Razordon Hunting Pack 80 - Extra Handlers Total: 2248 Some things to note: - I'm gonna be playing with my friends over the weekend in a tornament format that has a lot of restrictions. - The two different Hunting Packs are there because I can't take duplicate rare entires and I like to mobility of two different units - The Slann in the TG units and the two Saurus units will form the core of the army and should be a good 3 x anvil - I use 5x3 Saurus Warriors to be a bit more maneuverable (so that the 3 anvils can stick together) - The Scar-Veterans goes in the Cold One Riders units (one on each flank) to make two nasty hammers - The rest is there to support this setup, the Hunting packs will be used to flank charge if the get the chance and to offer a little firepower - I really REALLY hate flying pins, that's my primary reason to to use Terradons (that and the fact I like to try and be original - I plan on running lore of metal (against high armor and warmachine heavy armies), death (against most others) and Fire (if I'm feeling freaky) Anyway, that's about it, I hope you like the list and I hope my rant wasn't to long any commenst and ideas are as always very welcome indeed
List looks quite good, however, i would make 2 changes: Get more Razordons (one is just NOT good) or get rid of it and bulk a Saurus unit up to 18 (so its in 3x6 with spear. It=win. I'm also presuming that you're going to use the TG like that.) Other then that, seems like a pretty good list. Good luck in the tournament.
Hi, A few changes I'd personally do to the list: 1) Id probably drop the enchanted Shield on the Scar Vet and just get a normal shield, you still have a 1+ save and it frees up a few points and magic item allowance. You could consider giving him the Wardrums of Xahutec to help manouver after he's punched through the enemy lines possibly? 2) Just a warning that I don't think the +1 strength from the Sword of Might carries over to your additional attack from the maiming shield... maybe consider Sword of Battle for 6 strength 5 attacks? 3) I agree with KroxigorFTW about the single Razordon, never really been able to earn his points back when I've tried him, I think just having 2 salamanders in the 1 pack would probably be more feasible... Aside from that I like the list, and your proposed tactics, that slann will be great with Metal or Death, though I personally never leave home without the Cupped Hands, I've had a Vampire Lord die by miscast when I played VC so I now always take some form of miscast protection if at all able!
