With the horn of kygor in the list, why not invest in some more cold ones in lieu of the kroxigors? This would maximize the effectiveness of the horn of kygor. Speaking of the horn of kygor, it is really a very curious item. With it's huge price tag, you may want to try it out a few times before building it into your tourney list. Also, stubborn is really a defensive ability, and when you take an Oldblood instead of a Slann, you want to gear more towards offense. You have the bulk of your points tied up in two big spearmen blocks, and at a tournament the enemy will quite likely just bypass them until shooting wears them down, then surround them. Also, the kroxigors are really pretty vulnerable at T4 and 4+ armor. I'd say step one would be to take this army for a test spin and see if you even like the horn of kygor. I think for a tournament you might want a bit more flexibility.
If you really like the horn than go ahead and use it... but i must recommend the blade of realities.... in a tournament setting this will let your lord take down any other suped up lord (or more easily his incredibly expensive low ld mount ) and then you can use yet another 25 points o magic items on him. IMO saurus are so strong they are not in dire need of the stubborness but it would help vs chaos.... Then again ive never played in a tournament before so im not a veteran
Thanks for the tips. You´re right about the horn of kygor, it´s not really worth, cause you tie up both your Scar-characters in your units as well but I don´t have many cold one rider models and cannotr get some before the tourney either :s Anyone tried horn of kygor on a slann yet? I actually don´t think I like the horn as much as i thought, I´ll count me a new army and see if it might work, i recently lost to empire while playing this list.
