Swap the carnosaur pendant for maiming shield, you get the frenzy from the carnosaur already. Ah, you have maiming shield on the scar vet, well there is no point having the carnosaur pendant on your oldblood, cut that and slap in more CoR or teradons.
You sure about this? The rule of the carnosaur clearly states that the carnosaur gets the frenzy. And the BRB says: "In the case of mounted troops, Frenzy affects both riders and their steeds." Being that the carnosaur isnt the mounted troop himself, but the steed.
You could interpret it like that, its not very specific. I take it to mean that if the mount or rider is subject to frenzy the other gets it as well. 'In the case of mounted troops...' doesnt specify rider or mount, and you dont exactly say in the case of mounts which are ridden by troops or something like that.
In the frenzy rule of the carnosaur it also says that the carno gets frenzy...otherwise, they would say that the model would get frenzy....hopefully GW is going to post a FAQ soon. This isnt very clear
A couple quick possibilites to main steam / min max your army could be to take your spear unit and drop it down to 18 doing a 3X6 formation and using the extra points you save to put a warbanner in the unit. It gives you an extra 4 attacks and a positive static 1 combat res. I would then throw in another terradon with the remaining points
My initial concern with this list is how few deployables there are in your army (5+ charries). Your opponent is usually going to completely out maneuver you in the deployment phase, and I'm of the opinion that games are won and lost there. The only character that I don't like is the skink brave on the steggie. 2d+1 impact is nice, but it feels like you have way too many points in characters and he's the easiest character to dump. Could consider dropping the Brave while keeping the steggie for a few minimal units of ranked up skinks for redirection and flank threatening. Or you could drop the whole beastie and get some more Saurus and ranked up skinks. I do like the General (very similar to my own character build. ) although I agree the carnosaur pendant is a tad redundant. I don't think it should be traded for another terradon though. Making the unit too big puts too many points into it and detracts from the units purpose. I agree with Cap Obvious about the warbanner suggestion. Always an awesome item and I try to include it in any army I'm in. I also agree with making the saurus unit 18 strong with spears. If they have the warbanner it makes up for the lack of a rank, and they will be doing plenty of wounds for extra combat rez. Yep, that's my opinion. Long winded, but I figure I should make my first post on the forums a memorable one. Hope my rambling was helpful in some way.
