Here's the list I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. It's not intended to be the most competitive list in history, but I've designed it so that it'd be fun to play with and against. Let me know what you guys think of it!!! THE HOST OF KRO’HUAN, TEMPLE CITY OF THE SACRED MOON Lords Slann Mage-Priest – Lord Pacha-Kamak, Mage-Priest of the Temple City of Kro’Huan Focus of Mystery The Focused Rumination Cupped Hands of the Old Ones BSB Lore of Life Lords total: 17.5% Heroes Saurus Scar-Veteran – Kor’Bok, War Leader of Kro’Huan Gold Sigil Sword Amour of Fortune Shield Skink Priest - Tixi-Uxi – Speaker of Lord Pacha-Kamak Lvl 2 Lore of Heavens Heroes total: 10.1% Core units: 25 Saurus Warriors – The spears of Kro’Huan Spears Full Command 24 Saurus Warriors – The swords of Kro’Huan Full Command 10 Skink Skirmishers – The hunters of Kro’Huan Core units total: 30.8% Special units: 5 Saurus Cold One Cavalry – Border Patrol of Kro’Huan 20 Saurus Temple Guard – The Guardians of Lord Pacha-Kamak Musician Standard Bearer Revered Guardian 5 Chameleon Skinks - The eyes of Kro’Huan Stalker 5 Chameleon Skinks - The eyes of Kro’Huan Special units total: 29.2% Rare units Ancient Stegadon – Kha’Tli (Revered Beast) Rare units total: 12.2% 2248 pts Lord Pacha Kamak Lord Pacha-Kamak was the last Slann Mage-Priest of the 5th spawning, which makes him the youngest Slann-Mage Priest alive. His elders have often questioned his actions, but his recent success in fighting the Old Ones enemies and rediscovering forgotten treasures have been giving them something to think about. Eight centuries ago, Lord Pacha-Kamak founded the Temple-City of Kro’Huan, the city of the Sacred Moon, which serves as a first line of defense against the Dark Elves intrusions in Lustria. While only eight hundred years old, the City of the Sacred Moon has been blessed with numerous spawning of both skinks and saurus. Lord Pach- Kamak is a very active Slann. When not leading his forces, he spends his time scrying locations of ancient powers in order to retriveve more forgotten treasures of the Old Ones. He usually sends War-Leader Kor’Boq and Speaker Tixi-Uxi to retrieve those treasures. War-Leader Kor’Boq War-Leader Kor’Boq, whose name means ‘’Mighty Weapon’’ is the leader of Lord Pacha Kamak’s forces. He was the first saurus of the first spawning of the Temple-City of Kro’Huan to see the light. For eight centuries, he has crushed the ennemies of his master with relentless efficiency. Speaker Tixi-Uxi Speaker Tixi-Uxi is the voice of Lord Pacha Kamak. He’s been sent to retrieve lost treasures on numerous occasions. Tixi-Uxi has assited his master and War-Leader Kor’Boq numerous time on the field of battle.
Love the fluff, nice to see someone taking an interest in that side of the hobby. As for the list, to be honest it looks like a pretty balanced list, i'd happily field it for a battle. I would however try and find 150 points for a couple of salamanders, they are awesome in this edition and i never leave home without them these days.
Exactly. Sala's are so good, and honestly, Kro'Huan needs a barbecue now and then. Am I right? Nuthin' tastes better than toasted warmblood flesh. ... ... a bit creepy.
Yeah salamanders (The flames of Kro'Huan) are definitely going to make their appearance in the host of Kro'Huan, more then likely in the 2500 pts version of the list. I'd like to add some terradons and 2 sallies to upgrade to 2250, but I don't own any of those models as we speak so I tryed to make a nice balanced list with what I already own. Thanks about the comments on the fluff. I've got some 2rd oe 2nd edition stuff and I always loved reading about the stories of the armies. Most people don't give a damn nowadays which is a shame if you ask me!
completely agree. i love it when people invent some fluff for their armies. i do it for all my armys just to give them a bit of character in my mind if nothing else. If you don't have the models, thats cool, but IMO sallys need to be the very next thing to get hold of for what is otherwise a solid list.
@ mixer86: Sallies are definitely the next item on my list. With terradons. I'm hoping for plastic models in a relatively near future... Not holding my breath but still. I'll be painting the rest of the army before I buy something new... Or at least, I plan on having some finished regiments before. So far, I have 12 skinks completed and I'm working on 20 saurus, so I have a lot to keep me busy .
