    Hello everybody.

Been abcent for some time now due to not playing any games with Lizardmen but insteed fighting of the enemies with Tomb Kings (What i normally play, yes not so strong but fun)

Starting out with some pointless rambling: It all started with me having nothing to do last night because of fiance going out with her friend and catching up. I descided to speak to a friend of mine and see if i were able to get a Fantasy game going (have been playing some 40k recently, just started and pretty fun), he said sure and i started to browse true army builder and see if i had anything fun list to play that i had not used in a while. I did not feel like playing Tomb Kings so i opened up Lizardmen and descided to go with a pretty well close combat orientated list since as a Tomb King player you get all the magic you need when gaming, kinda like to ignore that bit after 15-20 TK games in a row.

So this is what i came up with.

    Characters

Saurus Oldblood: Carnosaur, blade of revered tzunki, glyph necklace, LA, Shield 466

Skink Chief: Stegadon, Stegadon war-spear, LA, Shield, BSB 369

Skink Priest: Ancient steg with EOTG, Diadem of power, scroll 405

    Core

17 x Saurus Warriors: Spear, Std, Muso 222

20 x Saurus Warriors: Spear, Std, Muso 258

15 x Saurus Warriors: Spear, Std, Muso 198

    10 x Skink Skirmishers: bpipe 70

    10 x Skink Skirmishers: bpipe 70

    10 x Skink Cohort: Javelin, Shield 50

    10 x Skink Cohort: Javelin, Shield 50

    Special

    3 x Terradon Riders 90

    Total: 2248
    Models: 100
    PD:4
    DD: 3 + diadem + scroll

So in general a pretty simple list, not that many fancy stuff but works well. Yes i know i have left out many many juicy choices that Lizardmen has but points and the need for troops is to big to include such things as cavalry or krox's.

Another point being that i need 3 units of warriors with STD to keep my comp score up.

To bad the game was over in turn 2 when i had charged his black guards with my skink chief on steg and the Oldblood. Killed every single black guard and broke the BSB he had in the unit. This resulting in a fantastic victory for Lustria.

I hope to get the chance to play it again sometime soon.

i like the army list :) very basic and very... hand two handy!

One thing, the shield and light armor is just for in case the stego dies on the chief? If i'm not mistaken his AS cant be improved on the howduh

    Hey.

Thank you, hope i can get a few more games with it soon.

And yes it is only if the steg gets killed since it can't be improved while mounted on it.

now, you'll have to tell me how you are fairing with magical protection. Just one priest with a scroll and the diadem is enough for you? Do you only play in a group where magic is never too big a deal or do you pray to the dice gods that the diadem and your rolls will keep you alive long enough to enter combat? I have been giving some thought to using skinks as a 'stick' unit and just march them across quick enough to get into combat and tie up shooting/mages long enough for the bulk to get there. What have/are you doing to keep away from magical/shooting problems?

    Hey.

Well i use the swedish WPS comp system so magic heavy (over 8-10 dices) is so heavily punished, that to keep a strong list you can not go over it (besides TK). So yeah against most opponents i will survive with this, and against those with to much i will use the cohorts to bind up mages until i can take one or two out.

That judging system is kinda dumb.
However, if i was going to make an army based on those guidelines, i'd just have tonnes of saurus with spears with an old blood on foot and a single scarvet bsb with lots of skinks, 2-3 razor/salamanders, at least 4 units of skinks. Chameleon skinks. No terradons. Skink priest with scrolls, with cloak on an engine of the gods and thats pretty much it. I really don't like those guidelines though.

Additional---DO NOT TAKE SKINK COHORTS---Not only are they intensely crap, and you actually get slammed for having units of 50 points. This is utterly ridiculous. Drop em.--->
Skinks (cohort) that cost less than 75p
    -100 2nd unit
    -200 Each unit > 2
You would actually have to pay me real irl money, and lots of it, to nerf my comp scores to take these abject failures.

I hope my advice proves useful. Enjoy your gaming experience. For the Old Ones.
