So the flyer says one round tournament. I don't know how a one round tournament will work, but I got a preliminary SOM list. I got two weeks to tinker with this list. Hopefully my schedule will permit me to try this list in a friendly game against my friend's High Elves first. Slann, 2 disciplines: Power die and Lore Mastery (Death), BSB, Standard of Discipline, Cupped Hands L1 Skink Priest, Cube of Darkness L1 Skink Priest, Dispel Scroll L1 Skink Priest, Scroll of Shielding, Ruby Ring of Ruin 2 x 25 Saurus Warriors FC 2 x 11 Skinks/1 Kroxigor + Musician 10 Skink Skirmishers with Javelins and Brave 25 Temple Guard, FC, Standard of Swiftness, Warrior Bane Sword on Champion 2 x 7 Chamo Skinks Salamander Hunting Pack + snack Razordon Hunting Pack + snack Carnosaur Windcatcher Prison (for Slann) 10 Cold Ones 2 x 1 Great Eagle with Swiftsense and Feathers of the Iron Phoenix Defensive Plan I plan to garrison my arcane fulcrums with Skink Priests. Then I’ll place a block of Saurus in front of them and position one of the little Skroxigor blocks with the Saurus to make supporting flank charges against whatever the Saurus end up fighting. Offensive Plan The Slann will race to an arcane Fulcrum and Death lore snipe the crap out of enemy wizards. The third skinks priest, escorted by a pack of skirmishers will occupy the first Arcane Fulcrum the Slann clears. The Temple Guard have the Standard of Swiftness to get to the enemy faster. The Temple Guard champion has the Warrior Bane sword just in case the TG end up charging a fulcrum or fight something ethereal. The Windcatcher Prism means whatever the Winds of Magic are doing, my TG will have a nifty bonus. The dinos are there to support the Slann and Temple Guard’s main thrust. The Cold Ones will stay nearby to provide a supporting flank charge (and stay within the Slann’s leadership bubble). The Carnosaur will do likewise, hopefully I’ll be able to point it at whatever nasty giant monster my enemy’s are fielding and benefit from the d3 wounds. The salamander is in case the enemy has any low leadership blocks I feel like panicking. The razordon is a backup wizard killer if the Slann fails to Death snipe. I also have been longing for an opportunity to field a razordon in a competitive list and this seems like as good of an opportunity as I can find. Contingency Units No plan survives contact with the enemy. The chamo skinks and great eagles are to run interference and speed bump any unexpected enemy moves. I’ve had eagle envy ever since I read this: http://www.ulthuan.net/forum/viewto... but I can’t figure out what I’d want to cut.
