Hey all, here is a 2400 pt list using the current book, I know the new one comes out soon, but I am just looking for a quick glance and some comments to make sure I don't think Like a crazy person: LORDS: (440) Slaan BSB w/ Standard of Discipline Mystery Rumination Dispel Scroll Life HEROES: (308) Scar-Vet Cowboy Cold One Glyph Necklace Dragon Helm VotFF Halberd Light Armor Scar-Vet in Saurus Hide of the Cold Ones Great Weapon Shield CORE: (600) Saurus Warriors x 24 w/ FC Skink Skirmishers x 12 x 3 w/ J&S and Brave SPECIAL: (890) Chamo Skinks x 6 x 2 Stegadon Temple Guard x 21 w/ FC, Razor Standard, Ironcurse Icon (Guardian) Terradon Riders x 3 RARE: (160) Salamander w/ Extra Snack Salamander w/ Extra Snack If someone could double check my math, 2398, I would appreciate that as well. Pretty standard strategy for this. I know the CO SV doesn't have much cannon protection, but I figure I can either just get him into CC quickly or keep him near the steg for the bubble ward. Let me know your thoughts so I can better bring sweet justice to the warm-bloods!
Looks like a solid list. If I were to change anything I'd consider running the Skirmishers as 10-man units and using the spare points to get more Saurus. Can't go wrong there. I personally don't see the benefit between 12 and 10 Skinks as being substantial. But 4 more wounds on the Saurus is always a good thing. You could drop the Braves too. Not sure what you mean by this. A regular Stegadon doesn't toss out the Portent of Warding ability from the Engine of the Gods. You'll need a Skink Priest and an Ancient Steg for that. Plus you have the Glyph Necklace so that's not too bad. However, the Charmed Shield or the Amulet of Itzl are the go-to Cannon-proofing items for a cowboy.
I just face-palmed myself for the Stegadon thing...duh. Wow, totally missed that... Anyways, thanks for the advice! I'll look at dropping to 10 man units and more Saurus.
