8th Ed. 2400 ETC comp tournament list - thoughts welcomed!

    Hello. Im currently gearing up frantically for an upcoming tournament. Painting all of my free time to wrap up all my models. I'd be happy if lustria onliners would give me feedback - good and bad. I have had loads of games in with different lists and have been in the hobby for a year now, but I still feel im quite new here.

    so this is what im going to run.

    Slann, wandering, becalming, soul of stone, book of ashur

    SV+CO,GW,Dawnstone, dragonhelm, light armour, ironcurse icon
    SV+CO,GW,Armour of fortune, other tricksters shard, BSB
    SV+CO,GW,Armour of destiny
    Skink priest, scroll - heavens or beasts

    4x10 skirmishers
    2x10 skink cohorts
    2x19 skink cohort/banner+musician

    12 Cold one cavalry/FC
    2x3 terradon riders with fireleech bolas

    2x sallies

    so its basically a bus list with wandering slannn :D id with id be able to ad some MR to the bus just cant fit anything there.

    Your list is illegal bruh:

    - Lizardmen
    • Scar-Vet Saurus on Cold One/Each 3 (or fraction) Salamander models, max 3
    • Becalming Cogitation/Dispel Scroll/Channeling Staff and Harmonic Convergence on the same model/Slann with Lore of Death (not including Wandering Deliberations), max 2
    • Skink Skirmishers/Terradon Riders, max 5


    You gotta lose a scar vet or the salamanders, and a unit of skink skirmishers or a unit of terradons.


    Unless I'm viewing a dated version of the ETC comp

    I believe that is indeed the outdated 2014 draft 2.0 (or something) :)

    I just managed to edit the newer comp to the post, which I first forgot.

    Alright, sorry about that, heres some feedback instead!

    Might consider moving the BSB over to the SV with the armour of destiny

    Remember that TOTS will affect your own models as well, so don't have it in base contact with friends units with ward saves. Also if you get hit by a war machine or get MR things are gonna get complicated :p

    List is good though, the new comp is interesting! And liberal :) Do you know what ruling they are running on PF?

    Thanks : D I was thinking on making the AoD dude do the challenges and the TOTs dude to be there chilling nearby making the bsb safe. but maybe the bsb should be given to the AoD guy for being more defensive. hmm.

    the ETC ruling on PF is that it does not work from supporting ranks.

    That google doc is more lively than a rabbit on drugs :D soo much red... but looks like they havent changed the PF ruling lately.

    hmm not sure, I need something to bash out some punisment against hordes and such. wandering deliberations slann doesnt have any big kablooie spells.

    hell yeah, i thought you run with high magic. run with high magic, you can easily switch out to sigs when they are really needed. high lore is just too good to miss it. taking out sallies and putting in a basti will allow you to switch disciplines aswell

    ive found out that to be easier on paper. might be cos im still struggling with magic phases. switching spells aint easy, and ive been able to switch around 2 spells max per game. having boosted spirit leech and searing doom on the first turn is quite nice too though and boosted shems can even kill a deamon prince since in ETC comp he might not be wearing dragonhelm. also not too much of a fan of high magic, as I were in the past. If id were to switch id prob gear up to channeling staff. book of ashur is more for WD. but I appreciate your input. high magic would indeed have walk between worlds which would be good with the bus. hmm.

    also, with hand of glory and basti I bonus, cold ones would have competitive ws and i (doesnt matter with gw)
