    Hello guys.

Just want some feedback on my list. I am a regular tourney player with Orcs and WOC, so want some advice from you lizzie experts.

Had a few games with the Liz and am running at about %60 win ratio.

Slaan, Discard 6's, extra dice, dispel scroll, ruby ring, LIFE

Scar vet, cold one, Dawnstone, charmed shield, venom of the fireflyfrog

Scar vet, cold one, Talisman of endurance, 15pt magic weapon

    30 Saurus fc spears

    10 Skinks skirmishers blowpipes

    10 Skinks skirmishers blowpipes

    10 Skinks skirmishers blowpipes

20 Temple guard fc flame banner

    6 Chameleons

    7 Chameleons

    Ancient steg

    Ancient steg

I ran a similar list with no Scarvets, one of the ancients became an engine of the gods with scroll and dawnstone, and added in three salamanders. Went ok but felt the engine was a magnet for anything, especially at 405 points.

I don't know the exact ETC (comp) rules, but I will comment on the list itself.

    The Slann.
Focus of Mystery would be nice, to make sure you have all the Life spells. Maybe you don't get dweller's vs a horde-heavy army...that would be a pain!
I find the ruby ring an interesting choice. I see a lot of potential in killing shades and the like. I'd say keep it (and thanks for the idea ;)).
Are you afraid of miscasts? Ofcourse, you do have lore of life which means throne of vines-miscast protection. But still something to keep in mind when you blow up half of your TG. Cupped hands maybe? Although that could be overkill...
But the most important thing: Is he the BSB? Now once again, I don't know what ETC-rules say about this....but he really should be your BSB!

    Scar-vet 1:
I'm not really a fan of the charmed shield. Otherwise, simple&solid.

    Scar-vet 2:
    Again, simple&solid.

Both have good saves and they have solid offensive capabilities by the statline. Looks pretty good to me.

    Core:
    Love it.

Big, solid unit of Saurus spears with plenty of skink support. Keep it!

    Special:
20 TG looks solid, flaming banner is your preferred banner? There are some other cool options, but if you face a hydra/HPA or something do you really want your TG to handle that?

Chameleons are like my babies. I can tell you know that the unit of 6 will outperform the larger unit in any game :) (6 is the magic number for my chameleons ;))

    Again, looks solid.

    Rare:
    2 ancient stegs...Hit or miss.
If your opponent can kill 1 steg, he can also kill 2.
If he cannot kill 1 steg (or has to put a LOT of resources in doing so), he surely cannot kill 2.
All dino-eggs in 1 basket. I would prefer 1 (ancient) stegadon in an army.

Especially when I read your last comment.

Life is an exceptional lore for keeping heroes/monsters alive and kicking...
But (here's the but). A single stegadon and salamander fire-support just seems way more versatile to me.
Also, I would imagine it would help your comp by only using 1 stegadon.

If you really don't like the bullet-magnet, you could always split the priest from the Stegadon. Giving a separate priest and an ancient. Not something I would recommend, but it could work.

    My thoughts on this one:
    Drop 1 ancient.
You now haveve 285 points to spend.
Buy 2 salamanders with extra handlers.
    125 points left.

    Now you can choose:
Buy a skink priest, trick him out and have some leftover points. Either keep him alone or put him on the remaining ancient (thus EotG).

Or, drop the 2nd scar-vet and buy another regular stegadon.
So you'll still have 2 'dons and salamanders.

The 2nd option is what I would recommend. Still 2 stegadons and salamanders at the cost of your 2nd scar-vet and the ancient upgrade.

Anyways, good luck with the list. I hope I have you some helpfull tips. In any case, play with what you like/think is best for you. Just because people say it, doesn't mean it's the best for your playing style.
Think over some points in your list and that will make you decide to keep it, or ditch it.

Good luck at the tournament! A battle report would be nice :)

    The Hunted

Now there is a problem to my plan, you're 'stuck' with somewhat of around 140 points.

    Thanks for the reply.

I can't fit in both scar vets and the engine into 2400 unfortunately. I could drop 1 of the stegs down to normal and a scar vet to get the sallys, but normally the 2 scarvets go in the saurus block to give it some real hitting power. Also the normal steg is only st5 which is a big thing for me. Concerning cannons, i have alot for them to target, both scarvets can be targeted, this is where the charmed shield and 5+ ward will hopefully work. Also both stegs. Yeah the Slann is the BSB. I normally take the plaque of tepok on the slann to get the extra life spell, but with the ruby ring, it takes the place of one of the magic life missles, and is also flaming which is the main benefit. Also need to fit in the dispel scroll.

The flaming banner on the temple guard works really well as a defensive measure against those big regen monsters. It limits the way they use them, and you can somewhat control where they deploy or move them just because of the banner.

I hope this makes a little bit of sense.

Any more suggestions will be well recieved.

    Cheers
