8th Ed. 2400 Kroak + Tiqtaqto list (house game)

    Hello everyone,

    Recently i played my first Warhammer game, and i had a blast, it was low points game and now i want to expand the list to 2400 points. After reading a lot about many special rules that seem unclear, i asked the guy in charge of the Fantasy campaign at my local GW (let's call him Phil for the sake of having a name) how he would play these rules. Phil is very enthusiastic about the game, but he wants to make sure every player is happy, and will rule often the most logical manners.

    So Kroak and Tiqtaqto are 2 special characters that i really enjoy the fluff so we looked at the rules and here is how Phil chose how these special rules apply.

    Kroak
    We looked at the fluff and the story behind him (backgroud info is always good). Before Kroak died he cast the Deliverance of Itza. To put it short, massive bubble of light was protecting Itza, he made the bubble 'explode' pushing it outward, killing lots of bad chaos deamons.

    According to what we read, he ruled in the favor of Deliverance of Itza for being a 360degree spell that affects all enemy units in range (in combat or not). To us it just seemed logical...

    TiqTaqto
    Here again we looked at the rules and the background of the character. He is Master of Skies, Everything points out that he his a revered and skilled terradon rider, and he flies and fights with brothers. As Phil says, 'Hes pretty much meant to fly with terradon'... simple as that.

    So as you guessed it, he ruled that tiqtato can join a unit of terradons (chiefs mounted on rippers and terradons still cannot), the Master of skies special rule can only be aplied to the unit he joins.

    Acient Stegadon with EotG
    Here again we looked at how to apply the bound spell of the EotG, fluff says that they are ancient artefacts of the gods that lizardmen dont understand exactly how they work, It sends rays to smite their foes and protects the lizardmen, in a bubble of warding energy.

    The spell is cast through an atifact that doesnt see but that detects enemy presence in a 360degree radius, sends arcane rays to smite its foes. Just like Kroak spell hits 360degree, all enemy units in range (in combat or not).

    Predatory fighter
    For this rule, he simply looked like he could care less and said ''If i lose due to a few extra supporting attacks, then its my problem and i should of tailored/played better list.

    So Phil is a Dark elf player (first army), he's also a big vampire/tombking player (2nd army but he plays taht the most), and of course a deamon player (3rd army). And yes hes gettingall the end times goodie releases.

    So in these end times it is the Lizarmen duty to protect the world from collapsing, we would have a Lizardmen/undead legion battle at 2400 points, (only restriction is we keep 25%lords and 25%hero)

    Now i love fluff and i wanted to get an army with as much flamming attacks in there as possible to fry these undeads!

    List : (2400 points exactly)

    -Lords :
    Kroak

    -Heros :
    Tiqtaqto

    Skink priest Beast w/ dispel scroll

    Skink priest Heaven w/ Cloak of Feathers (bounce around to cast Iceshard or as Arcane Vassal)

    -Rares :
    Ancient Stegadon EotG

    Salamander hunting pack

    -Special :
    Bastiladon with solar engine

    5 Terradon riders fireleech bolas, ambushers

    20 Temple Guard Full command Flaming banner

    -Core :
    All cohorts, probably 3x20 and 2x30 (Basically 120 models of skink cohort gets my 1/4 right on the nose).


    The Idea is to have massive skink screen with the sally somewhere in there,
    with kroak and tgs dead center behind the cloud, steg on one side , basti on the other, terradons ambushing killing some chaff or picking on weak units such and ranged. Having a Flying skink doing tactical work, and one with the skinks close to tgs also to buff and do his thing (aka dispel).


    Sorry for LONG READ XD, so is my list completely dumb? did my idea of flamming undeads wander wayyyyy off?
    What do you guys think, comments feedback, feel free to make new list, my main idea originally was using Kroak/tiqtaqto vs undead legions.

    PS: VERY IMPORTANT, the rules above are house rules that we agreed to play with, by no means does this mean we hold the truth, i do not want this thread to go on about discussing these special rules/abilities! This is not a debate thread!
