8th Ed. 2400 Point First Attempt at Lizardmen

    I have been looking around for a new army to start, and I think lizardmen are going to take the prize. I attend a lot of tournaments and play pretty competitively. This is my first attempt at a Lizardmen army.

    The main idea is to make the cold one a bit of a deathstar, all the mounted characters will go in there and I dont think there is much that can stand up to that in combat, especially when buffed by the Slaan. Kept the Slaan cheap and cheerful so I could fit a decent Oldblood in, as well as not putting too many points into a single character.

    Looks pretty good; it's a smart move using small cohorts to beat the comp system however they are easy units to get in break point matches with standards. I think you'd also be better off running them with musicians instead since they don't get the flexibility in movement that skirmishers do and the plus one to rally when you're running double flees helps a lot. The only other thing is that you may want to consider tooling up your slann a bit to make him more useful; if you want the scroll for sure maybe put becalming cogitation on him too for more defense or go for the harmonic/staff combo for better overall phases.
