I have a tournament coming up, no comp, and I do expect some very competitive lists. What do you think of the below?

    Lord
Slann Mage-Priest w/ BSB, Cupped Hands, Divine Plaque of Protection, Becalming Cogitation, Mystery, Higher State and Focused Rumination. Lore of Shadow.

I plan on seeing a couple of skaven/dwarf lists and am afraid of flaming/lightning cannons squishing the mage.

    Hero
Skink Priest lvl 1 w/ Dispel Scroll
Scar Vet w/ Crown of Command, LA, Enchanted Shield
Scar Vet w/ Piranha Blade, LA, Bane Head
Scar Vet w/ Charmed Shield, LA, Burning Blade, Dawnstone, Cold One

    Core
    48 Saurus Warrios w/ FC
    10 Skink Skirmishers
    24 Skinks w/ Mus, Banner, 3 Krox

    Special
    8 Chameleon Skinks
    8 Chameleon Skinks

    Rare
    2 Salamander Hunting Pack
1 Salamander Hunter Pack w/ Xtra Handler

Plan is to have the giganto unit of Saurus Warriors get Ockhamed up when in combat with the 2 Scar Vets providing staying power and character killingness. Thinking I should split the unit in 2 but unsure. Scar Vet on the CO provides flaming attacks and flanking options for whichever unit goes up against the big bads. He has also tied up some big bad units for a couple rounds until I could properly position in the past and sometimes people shoot cannons at him and the 1 time 2+ makes for a 'wasted' shot.

Everything else does what it is supposed to do normally.

Solid list. Going Deathstar is a moderate risk like this. You only have two combat blocks. That puts your megaunit is relatively vulnerable to being flanked. Your unit should be able to handle a multiple unit pile on with proper magic support.

If you megaunit gets double teamed and you roll poorly on Winds of Magic, you'll be in trouble (though the unit will be stubborn as long as the bearer of the Crown is alive, so will probably not break). It might be worth taking a sacrificial Skink priest to caddy a Forbidden Rod to protect yourself from a weak magic phase.
