    Hi
This is my first topic on this forum but it's not the first time I came here for some advice..
    Anyway...
Shortly I'll have to fight against High Elves
    here my list:

    LORD

    Slann + focus of mistery

Oldblood + cold one + GW + armour of destiny + dawnstone + tormentor sword (the oldblood would be my counter against its ice phoenix)

    HEROES
SKink chief + ancient stega + sharpened + unstoppable + BSB whit war banner + egg of Quango

    (love him) Gor-Rok

    CORE

    25 Saurus + m + s

    2 x 10 skink skirmisher

    20 saurus + s + m

    SPECIAL

    no specials

    RARES

5 razordon packs + additional handlers

3 razordon packs + additional handlers

    total 2393 points

Generally my opponent uses Lions of Chrace :rage: .

He loves them and often he puts the world dragon banner on them...

What about my list? Do I need some advice about fighting HE with Lizardmen?

    Thanks for your time

Couple of issues with the list... Firstly giving the great weapon to the saurus old blood is pointless as you've also given him a magic weapon, and the rules state a character will always use the magic weapon (you can't choose which one to use, he will always use the magic weapon) (see rule book page 501 - hardback version)

The skink BSB can't have a magic weapon as you've given him a magic banner. Its magic items OR a magic banner (not both) (see LM book page 89). The only BSB in the lizard army that can have both magic banner and magic items is the Slann.

I fear that your Slann is going to be vulnerable without some temple guard to protect him... If you have the models I would drop the block of 5 razordons and instead get a nice big temple guard block to bunker the Slann in......

    Just my $0.02

I got up against High Elves a lot, it being the favourite army of more than one of my common sparring buddies...

Just generally, I've always had magical dominance over HE with a Slann and a few Priests, but the most annoying (for me anyway) facet of a HE opponent are their batteries of ranged attacks.
One of my opponents regularly uses four archer blocks and a repeater bolt thrower - a common tactic I come up against is to use them to control the central board, either forcing you to waste your forces on them and/or pushing the main fights to the sides. Lizards deficiency in ranged attacks means we have little to counter - usually I tackled ranged blocks with magical artillery, however I have had luck with Saurus Riders grinding through them in a short space of time.
Of course, you may want to use Riders to tackle those White Lions... any unit that goes up against them needs to be buffed as hard as you can.

Otherwise, I echo pepticsalve's comments above!

I played 2400 vs HE last week, and have a re-match tonight. (My list was posted a couple of weeks ago I think - Similar title!)).

Other than echoing what others have said: salamanders. I've never really had them do much for me in previous games, but in the last one they toasted some White Lions and Swordmasters. For me they are in vs low T armies like HE or DE.

If you want to dominate the magic phase take the power where you role two extra dice for channelling (Harmonic?) and the Channelling Staff - 3 dice channelling on 5+, The reroll of first failed dispel attempt every turn is brilliant. Also, possibly take a priest as a scroll caddie. This also allows you to cast through him for magic missiles etc.

What ever you end up taking, GOOD LUCK!
