ok This is a 2400 pts list that I made in a bit of a rush the other day because my friend wanted a game with his tomb kings. He had just beaten our friends skaven and wanted another challenge. I tabled him. I just wanted to know what everyone thought about the list. Lords: Slann - cupped hands , dispel scroll, BSB, lore master discipline (lore of life), (joins TG) Heroes: Skink chief - Ancient Steg, war spear Scar Vet - sword of might, shield, light armour (joins a unit of saurus) Core: Saurus x25 - spears, full command Saurus x25 - spears, full command Skink skirmishers x16 skink skirmishers x16 Special: Temple Guard x10 - full command Rare: Salamander - +1 handler Salamander - +1 handler Ancient Steg 2390pts So what do you think?
Your slann can only take one arcane object so you need to choose between cupped hands and dispel scroll (take cupped hands and give your skink priest the scroll). For the love of the Old Ones, take rumination on your slann! This one discipline is the entire reason that Slann are the best casters in the game. If you have extra points then get focus of mystery and/or becalming but always, always take rumination (extra power dice = godly). You also need more than just 10 TG. 16 is the minimum I would take with life but you should probably try to get 20. If you don't own more than 10 TG yet, just use regular saurus to proxy. Your skink skirmishers should be dropped down to 10 models. These are throw away redirecters, not necessarily high powered archers. Drop the scar vet for a skink priest to carry your dispel scroll.
thanks for the advice. I didnt realise the dispel scroll was arcane. ill will try what youve suggested in a game in the next few days.
apart from dropping the scar vet, i agree. I never bother with scrolls anymore, but a combat character is always a must i think.
