So for our clubchampionship I'm going to try something differtent. This list packs a lot of punch with 3 monsters and a oldblood + veteran bus. No magic but I can 6 dice the Bastilidon. I'm not sure with lore to take: I propably go for 1 lvl of Heavens and 2 lvl Beast. First move: Sun - Dispel Second move: Sun - the cube Third move: Sun - forgive my OldBlood, ScarVet, Stegadons and Kroxigors. And fight with 3 st 2 to? My imho
Actually Purple sun is not that big a threath. Stegadons test on the innitiative of the skink crew + with the Bastilladon to give int + 1. I will fail only on a 6. So I'm not that worried for the innitiative nukes. Also it would be verrry bad positioning from my part if I would allow a purple sun to hit all my monsters and Cold ones
Looks like it could be fun! Your Scar Vet is invalid: has magic armor and light armor, though. He has the 1+ armor save without the light armor, so remove it and buy an extra handler for your salamander to snack on.
Thanks for the advice I'll swap the light armor to the old blood. Had a game last night against a WOC army with 2 Chimera's, Deamon Prince, skullcrushers BSB on disk (with 3+ ward and reroll 1's), doom cannon and a unit of Zeenths warriors. List did good. Had to keep one Stegadon a bit in the backfield to threathen Chimera's and prince. Later Krox unit mannaged to keep the prince occupied the last 2 rounds, the skink champion did his part. Could have killed the prince but the stegadon charge on turn 6 did not wound the prince (I blmae his 5+ ward) Did not miss Slann magic that much. With some expendable skink priest + Bastilladon I can 6 dice if needed. Without risking to lose a major character. I like the 1 lvl heavens and lvl 2 beast setup. Heaven signature was crucial at some point. Casted it on his disk bsb who was charged by my oldblood. -1 to hit and -1 leadership can hurt. Following turn casted it again on his bsb and charged my veteran + COC into the battle. He could not hit my bsb so he had to test on -4 leadership (heavens spell + charge + flank + banner + bsb - hs bsb). Beast lore was nice had amber spear and the +3S +3A spell. He was afraid for the spear so he kept dispel dice for that one. In the end I won with a +- 500 point difference. winning against one of the most difficult armies to beat sure gave me some confidence in my list
