Main Problems with this one is how many points are invested in Magic (Main caster, support caster, scroll caddy), having no combat characters, and only one redirector/chaff unit. There are also quite a few points in bunker units that will often have to stay back out of the fight, effectively having me play at a point disadvantage.

Main problems with this one are lack of Slann (which would be fine if I had more practice with it) and BSB as a Skink

Whilst maybe the first list has it's flaws, the second list isn't better at all IMO.

Your second list is basically the same list as the first, with only a different character setup.

I don't quite like Special Characters, but Tetto'eko is a good buy. But with a big 'ol Slann and a lvl2 supporting caster, do you really need him?
If you drop Tetto and his bunker, that frees up a lot of points to invest in TG, supporting troops and upgrade your scroll caddy to level 2.
That would hurt your magic phase, but your army on the whole would perform better IMHO.

I think the second list isn't all too powerfull. Your oldblood isn't very killy, and he is on foot. Which means he sits in with a big unit of M4 infantry. Getting it into the right combat can be very tricky. Without a Slann, you have 2 priests and Tetto. Which is still a decent magic phase. I'd suggest a Bastilodon here. Skink priests are just very good friends with the 'Don. He is a support unit on his own, but also throws around some nasty magic missiles.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I debated a long time about Tetto'Eko. I like leaving him in for three points he helps a lot with. Hes a great backup caster if my Slann breaks concentration. The reroll ones ability boosts the power of my magic phase. And the Vanguard I have found to be invaluable, especially in scenarios like Battle for the Pass against a gunline, or watchtower to move my TG right next to the tower.
