At very short notice I was meant to play OnG yesterday (but in the end he never showed anyway). Last time I played him there were three big blocks (c30+) of orcs, each with a character, some artillery and one or two big bouncy things (I think thats the technical term for them!) But I thought I'd share the list I prepared in a few minutes before said non-game: Lords: (496) Oldblood, Carnosaur (Loping Stride and Bloodroar), A of D, Dawnstone, OTS, GW. Heroes (495) Tetto Skink Preist, Lvl 2, beasts, dispel scroll. Scar Vet, Steg Helm, Luckstone, Iron curse icon, GW, Cold One, Light Armour, BSB Core (646) 24 saurus, full command, 2 x 10 skink skirmishers 16 skinks cohorts + 2 Krox, poison Special (590) 3 Terradons 7 cold one riders, full command Steg, unstoppable stampede, sharpened horns Rare (168) Sallie & snack Sallie & snack Points 2395 (I didn't think taking a 5 point magic weapon was worth it) Like I say, the list was prepared in a bit of a rush but with the following provisos: - I wanted to use the carno as I haven't used it much - I wanted to use the terradons as I've never used them! Idea was to attack with the cold ones (inc Scar vet BSB), steg and old blood on one flank, while the core troops and sallies harrass and block in the middle. The other flank would be refused if possible (depending on terrain etc). The other basis of the list was to cause as many fear/terror tests as possible. 8 out of 13 units do this (I'm counting the OB & Carno and each sallie as separate units). I think there's enough movement in the attacking troops to carry out this plan and the blocking troops have flexibility to move as required. Only real issue would be the saurus, but then anvils don't move much! Would like to have any feedback, ranging from "Well this sucks" to suggested tweaks here or there. Thanks.
