Hay ho all I'm after some feed back on my list for a GT Comeing up 2400 points Comp pack - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/78745573/Northern Warlords GT 2012 WFB Rulespack V2.1 .pdf Lizz 2.4k Slann- life - 450 Focus of mystery Remination Becalming cogition Bsb Standerd of disipline Cube of darkness (slann life to buff my units very solid caster) Scarvet - 146 Jungle Poison Armour of fortune Great wepon Luck stone (magic poison greatwepon scarvet to kill ethereal stuff with a 3+ as reroll one fail and also a 5++) Scarvet - 143 Burning blade Talisman of endurance Shield Light armour (Scarvet with a 3+ as and a 5++ with flaming to deal with regen because attacking 1st in the unit) Skink X10 - Skink X10 - (skink screens monster killing chaff) Skrox x 26 = 296 3 krox Musician ( skrox to add a very good flanker that carnt be stomped or fear off table) Saurus x31 - 371 Full command (big unit of saurus bring run 6 wide 5 deep with both scarvets in to make a very nasty unit) Temple guard x20 - 380 Full command Warbanner (bunker for Mr slann the unit haveing a static combat res of 6 before kills) Terradons x3 - Terradons x3 - (Best unis in game used for warmachine killing and weakening the flanks after droping Chameleon skink x6 - Chameleons skink x6 - (used for warmachine and weakening there chosen units) Salamander - Salamander - (well we all know what these do very good horde controll and to weeken units for saurus to mop up even easyer) My big point of consern is what's better cube or cuppes hands Cube = even more magic defence Hands = belt braces for slann and not haveing to rely on magic What are peoplea thorghts Thanks Adzaxeuk
I like the cube over the scroll because of the chance to end the magic phase. When your opponent rolls box cars for the first magic phase, you can pop that and hopefully waste all those dice. If you have a skink priest in the list, you can give him the scroll and let him be a secondary. Sometimes, I will take two lvl1 priests just for the cube and the scroll. As for cupped hands, I almost always take that item. I have rolled many 1s for my throne of vines 2+ miscast protection roll. But usually, I will not roll 2 1s in a row. If you feel confident in your surviability of a miscast, then take the cube. It will allow you to cancel a magic phase when you need to in order to get within range to use your becalming cogitation or get into combat.
IMHO Life + Cube = dilema... Two good spells in Life are RiP. I love the idea of shutting down the enemy magic phase, but I don't want to remove my own spells! Personally I like the Forbidden Rod on my Life Slann FTW. Just my $0.02.
