The 2 chiefs hang out in the large cohort unit. Planning on taking advantage of the deep ranks for stubborn LD8 tests on cold blooded LD (with re-roll). The chief with the egg/gem potentionally can disrupt certain opponents. Tetto'eko hangs out in the second rank with the kroxigors. He provides me with some additional magic support and some free vanguards which I like to use on the Ancient Steg and salamanders. The terradons, chameleons and skrimishers are all there to annoy my opponents. Anyone like the list? Are there ways I can make it better while still sticking to the skink theme? Time of Madness
Hey just a friendly reminder, the Administrators did post a discussion about individual points values. In short, you shouldn't post the cost of each unit as it is too easy to figure out individual unit costs, but posting total army points is fine. In regards to your list: Tehenhauin loses D6 S2 WS2 attacks in melee when mounted. I know that these aren't that good, but they are poisoned so don't under estimate them. Just in case you didn't know. The Skink Skirmishers aren't really meant to fight, more redirect and such. It might be a good idea to take them in batches of 10, saving you some points of which you can use to add to the Giant mass. Wouldn't you want to run the large unit of skinks in 10x6 to get in a large amount of fire power in both ranged and melee? Sure you lose 4 ranks, but that still leaves you 6 ranks, a number that most units claim to have unless you're fighting Skaven or Goblins, and those ranks will be much larger, so you'll lose them slower. Just saying what i would do. I've never been happy with Terradons compared to RipperDactyls. If you run 2 units of Rippers then with the two Blot toads running around there will be alot of frenzy. Terradons attack one unit, and that's the extent of their usefulness really, while Rippers target one weak unit, maybe lose one model if they're unlucky, and then continue onto their next target. Their Armour Piercing and Killing Blow are really helpful vs Dwarves and Skaven Warmachines, not to mention they get a whole load more attacks than the Drop rocks off Terradons. And finally, The Skink Chief that carries the BSB cannot have any other magic items, which is why Skink Chiefs are a poor choice for BSB carriers. It's unfortunate, but alas the BSB is a sitting duck in CC.
