Or you could drop the steg for ~3 units of terradons for some rock dropping fun. The steg is an obvious cannon magnet. However, with that many flappy units you may run into panic issues.
Spend 15 pts on std of disc for ld 10. Couple little things on rippers if you haven't used them yet. If they are on the flanks when you vanguard them face the asses towards the enemies or its 50/50 they'll have to charge first turn. That or stay within 12inch of slann.
It's less than that. You might pass the Ld5 test. And with 3 units, it isn't so bad. Just drop one of the bloat toads on the unit on the flank, so that if you are forced in, you can win. -Matt
I like the idea of having 3 bloat toads, I spent all game trying to get to my toad target since it ran off and put a closer unit in the way. With frenzy if you fail you have to charge the closest viable target.
Couldn't you declare a charge agains a more distant but legial target to avoid the obvious frenzy bait?
Unless its been FAQ Pg 70 says Must charge nearest viable unit if they fail frenzy check. Bit of a hit to rippers
If you FAIL frenzy test, you have to charge nearest unit. But if you declare a charge anyways you may target every valid unit, even if it's behind the nearest target.
yes yes, if your away from the general and you don't want to risk failing frenzy and charging the wrong target you could declare a charge againist a distance unit and fail and just stumble forward. Good idea.
Except I'll roll that 6,6 and charge 22" into the front of something stupidly awesome, when I was hoping to fail the charge. You can do it, but keep in mind what might happen if you actually make the charge. -Matt
