    Hi everyone,

I'm a fairly new player that is going to be entering his first real tourney next month and I can't decide on the final elements of my list.

    Please provide feedback.

    List #1:

Slann Mage Priest: General, BSB, Focus of Mystery (Loremaster - Light), Focused Rumination (+ 1 PD), Becalming Cogitation (opponent wizard throws away 6s), Cupped Hands of the Old Ones, Ironcurse Icon

Scar Vet #1: Cold One, Light Armor, Burning Blade of Chotec, Charmed Shield, Opal Amulet

Scar Vet #2: Cold One, Armor of Fortune, Luckstone, Venom of the Firefly Frog

    Skink Priest: Dispel Scroll

Saurus Warriors x 25: Full Command

Saurus Warriors x 25: Full Command

    Skink Cohorts x 10: Musician

    Skink Cohorts x 10: Musician

    Skink Skirmishers x 10

    Skink Skirmishers x 10

    Chameleon Skinks x 5

    Chameleon Skinks x 5

Temple Guard x 26: Musician, Standard Bearer, Banner of Eternal Flame

    Salamander Hunting Pack x 1

I've played with this list a couple of times. Scar Vets each hang out in a Saurus block unless a juicy target comes within charge range. I usually try to set up with all the various skink units out front to kill chaff and set up flank charges from my saurus blocks. Both times, one of the saurus blocks was either ignored or fed chaff and all effort was made to kill the Slann/TG. They even succeeded once (i did lose 10 TG due to a 2nd miscast, but still...). I'm also concerned about about lack of anything greater than Str 5 except for my Scar Vet with GW.

So I'm thinking about trying out this list:

    List #2:

Slann Mage Priest: General, BSB, Focus of Mystery (Loremaster - Light), Focused Rumination (+ 1 PD), Becalming Cogitation (opponent wizard throws away 6s), Cupped Hands of the Old Ones, Ironcurse Icon, Standard of Discipline

Scar Vet #1: Cold One, Light Armor, Burning Blade of Chotec, Charmed Shield, Opal Amulet

Scar Vet #2: Cold One, Armor of Fortune, Luckstone, Venom of the Firefly Frog

    Skink Priest: Dispel Scroll

Saurus Warriors x 30: Full Command

Skink Cohorts x 30, Kroxigor x 3: Musician and Standard Bearer

    Skink Skirmishers x 10

    Skink Skirmishers x 10

    Chameleon Skinks x 5

    Chameleon Skinks x 5

Temple Guard x 32: Musician, Standard Bearer, Banner of Eternal Flame

    Salamander Hunting Pack x 1

    Salamander Hunting Pack x 1

I removed one saurus block and added a skrox unit and increased the size of the remaining saurus block and the TG unit. Added Standard of Discipline to the Slann, hoping to keep the skrox unit close to him. I may put both scarvets in the saurus block. However, I have fewer drops now and I am a little concerned about getting out deployed with this list.

What do you all think? Which list do you think is better against all comers? I would appreciate any and all input.

I like both of the lists you presented, though the second list is very enticing. Swapping out your two skink cohorts for a priest so you have access to Iceshard Blizzard. Not to mention you might get one of those fun re-roll spells or lightning or a comet. Plus, you can never go wrong with a dispel scroll. I do like me some skrox as well.

You could probably lose a few TG to make points for a skink unit, if you are really concerned about dummy drops. 26 TG is plenty for me. That'll save you enough for almost 2 cohorts. Drop the Ironcurse Icon and BOOM! Done.
