So, just posting my list to see what people think. I'm in a badlands campaign and I need 3 different armies, and I'm operating on the models I have for the themes. This one is a heavy Saurus list. So, anyways, on to the show.

    Lord
Slann, +2 Disciplines, cupped hands. Focus of Mystery (life), The Focused Rumination, The Becalming Cogitation. 420 points

    Heroes

Scar vet, BSB, Light armor, Halberd, Razor standard. 164 points
Skink chief, Cloak of Feathers, Dagger of Sotek, shield, armor. 109 points

    Special
20 temple guard, full command, Flame banner. 367 points

    Core
4 bricks of 30 saurus with full command. 1440 points

    total: 2,500 on the nose

Plans, move the slann forward, grind the hell out of their death star, throw saurus bricks at people. Skink chief flies like a bat out of killing blow hell.

Nice and straight forward army list.

I'd consider putting the skink chief on a Terradon so you can use the 25 points of cloak of feathers for other magical items and the Terradons would give the Chief a little bit of protection against shooting. Three Terradon riders and a Terradon for the chief means you would have to drop 11 Saurus which shouldn't be noticeable if you split the pain between all your blocks (though they would no longer be even 30 each).

How good are terradons, I personally prefer chameleon skinks for war machine hunting, though I have a few friends who swear by terradon effectiveness.

I find that terradons are better for actual warmachine hunting, as they can engage the crew in combat at their toughness, its more reliable than wishing on sixes anyway. Drop rocks can be good and they can get in a rear charge quite easily to turn the tide of a combat.

However Chameleons can be a real pain to your enemy in many ways, not only can they do a good job of warmachine hunting, they are great at harassing, taking down high toughness targets, can scout and are really hard to hit as well.

It's really down to your personal preference and the models you have/want.

You can't "rear" charge a warmachine, they have no flanks or rear therefore you don't get any rear/flank bonus for combat res

I think he meant for other combats, not warmachines. The stomps that Terradons can deal out probably help a lot too.

I have a lack of funding currently, which is why I don't own any terradons yet. And a partial dislike of finecast in general.

Let me ask this, since I have a friend who works at GW, and can help make the 30 dollar sallie/razordons more easier to stomach, Terradons, or Jungley beasts?

Ahh, my misunderstanding, also as a note, you cant stomp a warmachine crew member either! Boo
