This is my usual "all-comers" list I run 9 times out of 10. Since I'm new here I figured a few extra sets of eyes could help me figure out any possible way of making this any stronger. Any C&C would be appreiated. Slann takes either shadow or light and dominates the magic phase as well as provides magic defense. 3 solid blocks (2 stubborn), 3x normal skinks as redirectors/shooting, 2 chamelons shootingtaking out artillary, large monsters, and light infantry, and 4 salamanders (especially deadly with shadow) I think i have a well rounded fighting force. 2500 Pts - Lizardmen Roster Slann Mage-Priest (BSB with Standard of Discipline) Focus of Mystery, The Becalming Cogitation, The Focused Rumination Cupped Hands of the Old Ones Obsidian Amulet Ironcurse Icon Saurus Scar-Veteran Halberd/LA Dragonhelm Crown of Command Skink Priest Cube of Darkness 23 Saurus Warriors (6x4 with scar vet) Full command 25 Saurus Warriors (5x5 formation) Full command 10 Skink Skirmishers 10 Skink Skirmishers 10 Skink Skirmishers 26 Temple Guard Full command Venom of the Firefly Frog on champion Banner of Eternal Flame 8 Chameleon Skinks 8 Chameleon Skinks 2 Salamander Hunting Packs 2 Salamander Hunting Packs Total 2500
IDK. Looks about as straight forward, all the good stuff as a lizradmen all comers list can be. Got the sallies, slann with the 3 big goodies, camo skinks, skirmishers, stubborn all over, enough magic damage to skill spirits. Got all comers all over. I wouldn't do anything really dramatic, but I would change it a little just to suit my preference. Seems good as is. I'd spring the two extra points for a great wep instead of a halbred. I feel like Discipline is kind of wasted since 2 of the 3 core blocks in your army are stubborn. A little redundant. Like cupped hands on a life slann. Turns from great to OK. I think iron curse icon would do better on the TG champ just because the slann has a ward save already. I feel like it would get more use in that unit from cannon fire and the like. Giving the save to 4 saurus instead of 3 TG and a slann with a better save, from a cannon shot straight throw. And even better odds from bolt throwers and rock throwers. And if you take life instead(which is great in a saurus heavy army) the regen spell would make in completely obsolete vs all non flaming war machines. Of course then you wold have to drop the venom and give him a magic wep or armor to compensate. Maybe free up some pionts for a great wep for that vet and a 5 piont shield of wep for the champ. Kind of weird that your vet has a helm and a crown. I think some people in my gaming group might get a bit pissy if I ran it. We're more for the flavor than competitive. Unless I modeled him two headed. I probably shouldn't say pissy. More just laugh at him for and make fun for being unintentionally two headed. Seems like a lot of skirmishers between the 3 skinks and two larger than normal groups of camos.
why not kings always wore their crowns even when going into battle http://historyshop.piratemerch.com/images/300420_medieval_helmet.jpg
