Trying to get around the "don't rely on magic to win" rule. Death Slann, Becalming Cogitation, Harmonic Convergence, Reservoir, Channeling Rod, Egg of Quango, BSB Discipline Tetto'eko Skink Priest lvl 1 Skink Priest lvl 1 Cowboy w/ GW and Armor of Destiny Cowboy w/ GW, Gamler's Armor and Dawnstone (or terrifying mask of EEE!) Core- whatever gets you 25% 24 FC Temple Guard w/ Razor Standard Ancient Stegadon w/ EoTG 2 x 5 chamo Skinks I know this seems like too many casters, but hear me out: With 3 channel on 5-6, 3 channel on 6 and reservoir, you should have around 8-10 dice on average. Before CC you can blast them with comet, lightning, death spells or whatever else. Hitting units in CC with multiple iceshards and/or doom and darkness will make their chance to hit almost non-existent. With a low leadership and low chance to hit even the stubbornest of enemies will run from your saurus/templeguard/lightning bolt. The enemy will always want to save dice to dispel spirit leech, but if they don't your slann has LD 10 and rerolls 1's for casting. You only need to save 1 die for spirit leech! Now you don't have a dispel scroll, but with the large amount of dice for dispel and the rerolling 1st failure it is still fairly safe.
Thats an extension of what I normally run, slann with harmonic convergence and channelling staff and two skink priests. I use the priests as scroll/cube caddies though for that time when you absolutely need for something to just go away. I find that I am not usually short of dice with that combo for the same reasons, you tend to channel at least one per phase and sometimes two or even three (it's a real pleasure to watch your opponents face when you channel 3 dispel dice and end up with more dispel dice than power dice).
I can understand the logic but you have all these naked skink priests. Might as well give one a scroll And I'd give one the forbidden rod so he can blow himself up for the greater good
