So I'm trying to field a semi decent no slann list. I'm hoping this is a decent start. I followed a monster mash theme. This is the rough draft:

    Oldblood on Carnosaur
    burning blade
    charmed shield
    talisman of protection
    the other tricksters shard

The idea is simple, go and destroy regen annoyances or support block troops. Solid amount of attacks and the carnosaur's d3 wounds will be nice against ogres and such.

Skink Priest on Engine of the gods
    LV 2
    Cube of darkness

Provide some magic defense, cannon defense, thunder stomp etc.

    Scar vet BSB
    Armor of fort
    sword of striking

In a 2+/5+ for survivability. With 4 str 5 attacks that hits most rank and file on 2's for that bit of extra combat rez.

24 Saurus full command (5x5 with bsb)

    31 Skinks with 3 Krox banner/musician(6 wide)

    2x6 Chameleons

    6 cold one cav
    banner (+d6 banner)

Had decent success with these guys, but would be open to dropping if someone has better ideas.

    Ancient Steg

    Salamander
    extra handler

    salamander

    2500

Thoughts, suggestions, or comments? Any anything helps :p

First thing I see is the Scar-Vet BSB. The Sword of Striking is actually 10 points more since it is also in our army book. That puts you over the 50pt limit I believe, so you'll have to change that out.

Second thing I see is that you have an army full of hammer-type units. Things that hit hard but don't stay around too long for a grindfest. If you were to drop the Cold One Cavalry and just add in more Saurus, maybe up that unit to 35 so, you have a solid anvil. The Carnosaur, Stegadon, and Skrox unit ought to hit flanks hard enough to work with them quite well and outgrind the hordes I'm sure you'll see.

I would add some skink skirmishers and a unit of Terradons. The skirmishers will help you control the movement face and help you set up multiple charges.

With 3 monsters, you want to put as much pressure on Warmachines as you can. The 2 scout units are start but having a flyer will allow you to get at WM they cannot.

Other than that, I have had lots of successes with a very similar list, good luck.

    +1

Terradons are awesome at getting to war machines. You need some in this list.

I think Diadem of Power is a better choice than the Cube if just doing defensive magic. That will also allow the Skink Priest to take a 1-shot ward save (Opal Amulet) to protect him from war machines if you don't get to move first and can't put up the Gungan shield.

yep. You are taking a monster mash list into an ever increasing cannon infested environment. Put pressure on those warmachines asap, use the skinks to blowpipe down opposing chaff so you can control movement.

Your focus must be the movement phase. You must dominate it! The first time you get off what I call the triple charge (all three monsters into one target, hopefully with the saurus) it is awsome. It will literally explode units!

The list has many problem match ups. I mention warmachines, but scream lists and death and shadow lores are also bad match ups. You can win against these lists but it takes effort and the occasional spot of luck. However, as unforgiving as it is, it is my favorite style list and a blast to play.

It can be competitve in an uncomped environment as I have proven over and over.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
