8th Ed. 2500 Point Lizardmen Army List. Mounted + Cowboys (New)

    Hey again guys,

    Still trying to decide my proper list for Lizardmen so bear with me. This list is interesting as it features mounted units and monsters.

    Lords:

    Oldblood
    - Egg of Quango, Armour of Destiny, Sword of Might, Shield. General

    Oldblood
    - Pihrana Blade, Dawn Stone, Potion of Strength, Charmed Shield, Cold One

    Heroes:

    Skink Priest
    - Dispel scroll, lvl 2 Heavens

    Skink priest
    - Cube of darkness, lvl 2 Beasts

    Saurus Scar veteran
    - Sacred Stegadon Helm, Potion of Foolhardiness, Pidgeon Plucker Pendant, Cold One, Great Weapon, Light Armour, BSB

    Core:

    27 Saurus
    - Full command, HW & Shields

    24 Skink Cohort w/4 Kroxigor

    10 Skink Skirmishers
    - Javelins, Shields

    10 Skinks

    Special:

    23 Temple Guard
    - full command, Banner of swiftness

    Bastiladon
    - Solar engine

    6 Cold one riders
    - Spears
    - Standard

    3 Terradons

    Total: 2500 Pts

    So yeah, Please rate i really need the help. Thank you

    I think the BSB Scar vet is illegal. The army book says a scar vet who carries a magic standard cannot have other magic items. I don't have my rule book but am guessing that the PPP is a magic standard.
    If so, and you want to keep the helm and potion, you'll need to drop the PPP.

    Also the Skrox unit can only have 3 krox in it as there is only 25 skinks. It's one krox for every 8 skinks.

    Not sure of the point, but can you squeeze another 10 skirmishers in now given one less krox and the removal of the PPP?

    Yes but the list says 25. With 25 he can still only take 3 krox.

    However I can't fault your maths!

    ;)

    I should have put the 24 bit in my initial answer though :oops:

    Correct me if i'm wrong.. but, :artist:
    I think the only restriction is no magic weapon in 8th eddition.
    This is a change from earlier edditions.

    @n810 - Being the saddo I am, I just happen to have the Army Book with me. :oops:

    It says "A Saurus Scar-Veteran or Skink Chief that carries a magic standard cannot have other magic items"

    To me that means armour, weapons et al cannot be taken if the Scar-Vet or Skink Chief BSB has a magic standard.

    strange that they would specificaly call that out.
    What are the BRB rules again?


    Edit: oh if you take a mundane standard you can take magic stuff.

    So... What should i do with the BSB?

    I took the skink out and added a saurus with the leftover points

    @Sobeks_Fist keep the BSB on a scar vet, but dont give it a magic standard.

    A scar vet who is BSB with no magical standard can take the usual points allowance of other magical items.
    A scar vet who is BSB with a magical standard can't take any other magical item.

    But the Scar-Vet doesn't have a magic standard?

    @Sobeks_Fist - My apologies - I didn't have my rule book so wasn't sure about the PPP. Given its not a magic standard, its fine!
