I have a tournament coming up on Sunday and I have yet to play with my lizardmen in this edition (and I haven't used a Slann since 5th!!!!!) I've been playing my High Elves and daemons alot lately but I decided to break out my first love. I would like whatever imput/suggestions you might have. Slann – Lore of Shadow Focus of Mystery Foused Rumination Higher State Becalming Cogitation Cupped Hands Plaque of Protection BSB Standard of Discipline Skink Shaman Dispel Scroll Blood statuette of Spite Skink Chief spear, shield Terradon Tricksters Armor (heavy armor, +6 ward) Potion of Strength Luck Stone Scar Vet light armor Enchanted Shield Ironcurse Charm Helm of Command Scar Vet light armor Sword of Battle Maiming Shield 38 Saurus full command 10 skink skirmishers 10 skink skirmishers 10 skink skirmsihers Stegadon 7 Chameleon Skinks Champion 7 Chameleon Skinks Champion 7 Chameleon Skinks Champion 2 Salamanders 2 extra handlers 1 Salamander 1 extra handler The slann will float around behind the saurus horde and debuff any units that get close (miasma + iceshard storm from the skink shaman will have most enemies hitting on 6s only) and for the obvious Mindrazor. Also not going to discount enfeebling foe + salamanders and miasma on init + pit of shades. The skink chief is there to be a nuisance and maybe kamikazee a vunerable mage or BSB, or finish of a unit of calvary or monster.
Slann as bsb dosent work well because if he charges you he might no be able to touch you but he will win in combat res with ranks and a charge and if your slann flees he auto dies because banner cant flee this situation happened to me and it made me loose the game but thats jus my opinion
So far if my Slann is solo I only put him as BSB if I can nearly guarantee his safety. Or give him crown of command. Then they'll never break him.
