This list is a very different approach but it looks interesting and fun to play. Not sure about the commandgroup in your SCOR: if you lose 1 rider you can't "look out" your characters any longer since you only have 4 normal models left. I might drop the standart and maybe the champ to prevent that. You got the Crown anyways which is a very good choice IMO Edit: nevermind, just double checked and musician + standart do ofc count for look out sir
I like this list a lot, straight to the point, no bull-sjit in your face kind of list. I really like your cowboy kits as well! Those 46 skinks are gonna be a tempting targets for a certain type of spells though (plague, dwellers, fiery convocation etc) Looking forward to hearing your results Good luck
I am a huge fan of skink hordes! I hope you get some good action going with those models. I'm personally looking at increasing my collection of skinks from a mere 72 to 96 soonish. GL and HF! Do tell how it went if you get the option!
I finally got a chance to try this army out: Oldblood - Cold One, Light Armor, Great Weapon, Talisman of Preservation, Crown of Command Scar-Veteran - BSB, Cold One, Great Weapon, Armor of Destiny Skink Priest - lvl 2 (Beasts), Dispel Scroll Tetto'Eko 46 Skink Cohorts - Shield, Javelin , FC, Poison 10 Skink Skirmishers - Shield, Javelin 10 Skink Skirmishers - Shield, Javelin 10 Skink Skirmishers - Shield, Javelin 10 Skink Skirmishers - Shield, Javelin 8 Cold One Riders - Shield, Spear, FC, Cold One 8 Kroxigors - Great Weapon Ancient Stegadon - Sharpened Horns Salamander Salamander vs LM Slann - lvl 4, BSB, All default spells, save a dice, roll 3 channels, channelling staff, maybe more Skink Priest - lvl 1 Beasts, Cloak of Feathers Skink Priest - lvl 1 Heavens, Dispel Scroll 40 Saurus - Sh, S + M 50 Skink Cohorts - Sh, Javelin, Extra Poison, S + M 5 Chameleon Skinks - Blowpipes 5 Chameleon Skinks - Blowpipes 4 Kroxigors - Great Weapon Bastilodon Salamander Ancient Stegadon - Sharpened Horms Ancient Stegadon - Sharpened Horms I rushed forward as fast as I could. My sallies killed 13 skinks from the cohort with flames and a few saurus as well. In return his skinks and slann killed 4 of my cold one cav. Turn 2 and my cav charged his cohort whih fled to safety. I used a unit of skinks to block his stegs and moved everything else forward. In return I ate magic again and lost 2 more saurus cav. His chamos blocked my kroxis and his stegs charged and killed my blocking skinks and overran both stegs into my cohort. Good thing his Basti failed his charge into the flank of my cohort else skinks would have flying everywhere. His flying skink flew and blocked my saurus cav. Turn 3 and I charged my steg into the flank of one of his engaged with my cohort. My Oldblood charged out of the cav into his Basti, a salamander charged the flying skink, and my kroxis charged the blocking chamos. In magic I got an IF Wildform on my Steg and the priest took a wound. Combat saw my steg kill his target. His stegs did a number on my skinks who held firm due to steadfast and reformed into a block from horde. Quandry here, I lost combat but my steg killed his target so we played it that my steg and skinks had to pass a break check (both passed) and my steg could then overrun into the flank of his last steg. Not sure if this is right. My kroxis killed the chamos and reformed thanks to the nearby skink priest holding up predatory fighter. My sally killed the flying skink and overran to block up the saurus. My oldblood did 3 wounds to the basti ... almost ... and he held thanks to the slann being nearby. My cav reformed to face incoming threats. His turn 3 and the saurus charged my sally which held and his kroxis tried and failed to charge my cav. Magic saw a huge fireball completely wipe out the unit of skinks Tetto and priest were hiding in. The priest was then finished off by a burning gaze and tetto took a wound. In combat my steg ran over his and my oldblood killed the basti. My turn 4 and the old blood and steg charged the enemy skink cohort. My kroxis moved to block the saurus (I was in 2 x 4 formation ... 2 wide that is) and my BSB joined them. My cohort was joined by Tetto and moved a bit. In magic I used wind blast to push the saurus into the enemy skink priest standing behind them and killed him ... who said wind blast is useless ... that was my second casting that game too. Combat saw my steg and oldblood kill a lot of skinks for a bit in return but the skinks held. His turn 4 and the saurus charged my kroxis. Everything else moved around a bit. Magic saw Pha's or something go on his saurus ... not sure how he got that. In combat his saurus did just one wound while did 5 in return but still lost combat. I passed my Ld 7 break check and my reform check to get more kroxis in. My steg and oldblood killed the last of the cohort to the skink. My turn 5 and my oldblood charged the saurus. I got a few spells off (re-roll ones I believe on the Kroxis). In combat the saurus did only 1 wound again and this time I killed 10 or so but they were still steadfast and passed their check. Hmm missed something here. Anyway, I ended up beating and running down the saurus with my oldblood pursuing into the slann. His kroxis flanked mine and killed my BSB but I killed a few back with both units sticking. He had just the slann, kroxis and a unit of chamos left. I had my cohort, kroxis, steg, oldblood, tetto, and a unit of skinks left. Win for my LM. That was a good tough game with a good bit of back and forth going on. I loved how my steg just ran over both of his. I did mis-deploy my kroxis though so that they only saw combat until late in the game.
