    Ok, so far i have:

Slann, 3 disciplines (Mystery, Rumination, Becalming), BSB, Lore of Life

    25 Saurus, Full command, Spears
    25 Saurus, Full command, Spears

    8 chameleon skinks
    8 chameleon skinks

    21 Temple Guard, Full command

    2 Salamanders
    2 Salamanders

That leaves me with about 575 points to spend. What else? I'm thinking some magic items on the slann, maybe a stegadon or two? More saurus in any of the units, or another unit?

I'm a big fan of the ancient stegadon so I'd get one. I also never leave home without skink skirmishers, they are cheap and really good, I'd bring 2x10.

yeah i did think about them, but they seemed a bit redundant with the chamos there. i suppose then i always have some backup if they get killed early on

I'd fit in an ancient stega' as well w/ EotG; you'll never know when u need those 5+ wards against warmachines or whatnots'..

i'm kind of put off taking an EotG because my stegs seem to keep getting one-shotted by cannons, as well as being a lot more expensive than a normal ancient.

scar veterans, i enjoy using when i use light on my slann, nicely buffed up they can really dish some hurt, but they dont seem to work quite as nicely with life..

i'd really like to take a normal steg, an ancient, some skink skirmishers and some magic items on the slann, sadly i don't have the points for that

I'm running something very similar. I suggest 2x12 skirmishers, a scar-vet or 2 (one with the crown of command perhaps). I choose to run a baby steg, just to give them something to shoot at, and honestly it worries people. If not a steg maybe some saurus cav, or boost the saurus blocks to 30 (how i've found best to run them.)

    Just some suggestions.

Also remember that some armies don't have canons and might worry A LOT about the Stegadon. It takes ennemy fire away from the saurus block and with life, you can always bring your Stegadon back to full life. T6 with 3+ AS isn't easy to kill! My Ancient Stegadon once took down a whole unit of daemonettes and 3 fiens of slaanesh without taking more then 2 wounds!

i'm going to try taking a normal steg and an ancient, seem how that fares in some practice games :)

what about magic items on the slann? i'm a big scardeycat, so i've gone for the cupped hands, after that i had a few points left (~20 iirc), so i'm thinking of trying the curse-charm to make an enemy wizard re-roll a miscast result... maybe a magic banner would be better?

I'd try to squeeze in a lvl 1 skink priest scroll/cube caddy and a bodyguard of 10 skirmisher skinks. Becalming is awesome, but you'll find that every once in awhile you'll want to stop something without throwing 4+ DD at it.
