8th Ed. 2500 tournament lizards

    2500 point list for a local tournament. Decided not to include any monsters because I know Ogres, empire, and skaven will be showing up in numbers. Here is what I came up with.

    Slann BSB (standard of disc)
    -Wondering Deliberations, becalming cogitation, soul of stone)
    - cube of darkness

    Lv 2 skink priest
    -scroll

    Scar vet on Cold one
    -Steg helm, LA, GW

    Chief on Ripperdacactyl
    -LA/Shield/Dragon helm/spear
    The tournament is allowing skinks to join units until an FAQ says otherwise

    24 Saurus Full command

    24 Saurus Full command

    2x10 skink skirmishers with javs

    10 skink skirmishers with blowpipes

    25 Temple guard with Razorstandard/full command

    3 terradons

    3 Ripperdactyls

    7 Cold one riders banner/musician

    I would drop two skink skirmisher units down to 10 skinks with jav/shileld giving you one more drop and ten points for 1+ save on scarvet as well as giving him 2+ ward against fire

    i would try and find 30 points to give the ripper chief the egg of Quango.

    50% chance of laying down 2D6 str5 as well as his attacks and the ripper is too good to pass up IMHO>

    not bad in theoy, however, some of your unit sizes are odd. TG with the slann would be 29 models, not full ranks in any way. Maybe cut 4 of them?

    7 CO with the scar vet is 8, also odd.

    if you drop two of them and the 4 TG, you have enough to give your slann Harmonic + Channeling staff, and send the Cube to a LV 1 Priest caddie.

    This will give you on average 2 more dice per turn than you currently have, for not losing much.
